Front staff was extremely friendly. Dr. Lu was great and really took the time to explain each part of the eye testing. Highly recommend.

I had my eyes examined by Dr. Lu. I was very impressed that her equipment was the latest technology. The exam was very thorough. When I went to pick up my glasses I questioned the prescription. Dr. Lu took me back to her office and showed me the difference between my old prescription and my new prescription. I could see the difference and in the end I am very satisfied with Dr. Lu. She is very professional and thorough.

I called by phone to verify if they take Davis Vision insurance for annual eye exams for my family and they assured me that they do. After scheduling an appointment and coming in a few days after, they've then informed us in person that Davis Vision is not in their network but they can perform my eye exam as a out-of-network service. They explained to me that I'll have to pay upfront and then I'll just need to fill out a form to file a out-of-network claim for reimbursement. Sounds pretty straightforward but I was naïve to trust them on their words. I found out later, that reimbursed is not possible for this because Davis Vision does not reimburse for any out-of-network services unless the provider calls them to get authorization first. In most cases, Davis Vision would only provide insurance coverage to in-network practices. So the form they gave me was just nonsense. This misinformation from this practice was a costly mistake of $89/person. We will not be returning to this place and caution others to be careful as well because they will mislead you paying upfront and thinking that your insurance has you covered/reimbursed through filing a claim.
