Before coming to see Dr Josh I went someplace else which was my biggest mistake. The previous place after 2 try’s couldn’t get my prescription glasses right and kept telling me it takes a few weeks to get used to them which is never the case. I had a bigger curve in my glasses that the previous place couldn’t manufacture. As soon as I walked into Independant optical it was completely different. Chris greeted us at the door and after I told him the issue he was quick to help. Dr Josh Re examined my eyes to find me the correct prescription and which lens should work best. As my old frames were shot I needed new ones and I am not an easy fit for that. With Chris’s extreme patience and professional manner we found a pair of frames I loved. One week later I have my new frames. I was able to see right away drive and there was zero adjustment period. The glasses were perfect. I will never go anyplace else but independent optical. Dr Josh and Chris are professional knowledgeable, and treat you like family. Also Dr Josh got me over my glaucoma test gear without me even knowing he was doing the test. It wasn’t the first place I went; but, it will be the last! You simply don’t find a selection of eye wear like this at most locations. One may think it could be overwhelming… well that is where Chris steps in. His knowledge and experience is incredible. These were my first glasses outside of readers. He made it easy and helped me in finding the perfect pair(s). I was going to put off this much need process after visiting other providers. So glad my wife insisted we go to Independent Optical in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

I was treated very poorly at Pleasant Eye Care inside LensCrafters and after paying out of pocket for an upgraded eye exam, I still didn't have the information for the frames from a different lab that I wanted. In desperation, after trying repeatedly to get what I needed from Pleasant Eye Care without success I walked into Independent Optical Where Chris provided me with what I needed in a matter of minutes and refused payment. I will definitely come here next time and highly recommend them. They have an amazing selection of beautiful frames to choose from and the service can't be beat!
