Update: the doctor called me and fixed the problem. I was able to change my contacts back to the brand I am already using because it is on the list of brands covered by my insurance. She was very friendly and helpful and I got a refund for the charge. With this customer service I changed my review to a 5 and will likely be going back in the future, this time with more awareness of the contacts exam fee etc. Old review: The place is really nice, everyone was friendly. But I feel scammed. I was told my vision exam was $10, covered by my insurance (written on my paper). I did my exam, told them I didn’t need any contacts, but they gave me 1 new pair to put in immediately. When I got to the front desk, I was told my total was $10 plus $98 for the contacts exam. I wasn’t aware that there was a “contact” specific exam and that it cost any more money. My insurance is to blame for not covering the exam as well, but I would have liked to know it was not included in my “eye exam.” I’m definitely upset by the lack of transparency and every little thing costing more money. If money isn’t an issue to you, this is a nice place. My advice to the owners is to be more transparent about services in advance. Anything that isn’t included in the “eye exam” needs to be addressed before you bill someone unknowingly.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I will say every single person that I came into contact with was so pleasant. The secretaries at the front were smiling and joking with each other and with me. When I went back, the lady who gave me the preliminary exam was so sweet. Then Anne came the doctor and he was even great as well! I ended up purchasing a pair of glasses, and the lady who helped me choose my first pair ever was also so sweet. I can’t recommend Innovative Eye Care enough. You can tell the entire staff actually enjoys working there.
