Tremendous Lasik experience with Dr. Hyver. From the first consultation, everyone was extremely professional, reassuring and thorough. The procedure was fast and easy, and recovery was as speedy as I could have hoped for! Now, I have better than 20/20 vision and am enjoying every minute of it! Would highly recommend Dr. Hyver for lasik.

-6 contacts with a relatively minor astigmatism. Had a few consultations at various places and was told ~2 years ago that I wasn't a candidate for LASIK/SMILE/PRK because my corneas were too thin. Got EVO ICL 2 weeks ago, and my vision is great. Went into work the following day. Everything went smoothly, and now I can see in the middle of the night if my husband left the toilet seat up. Rings are very minor. Night driving is fine, it's actually the 8AM or 6PM commute when the rings are most noticeable, but overall they're easy to ignore. Would strongly recommend if you're considering it. 2 Month Update: Rings are very rare, and I don't notice or see them 99.9% of the time. Morning commute rings are gone.

I was very impressed by Dr. Stephanie Tsang! She was extremely knowledgable and thorough in my eye examinations to make sure I was comfortable going into laser surgery. If you're thinking about PRK/LASIK/SMILE, I recommend you pay her a visit!

I got my Lasik surgery done today by Dr. Scott Hyver. Absolutely incredible, life change and worth every penny!. Highly recommend, it doesn't hurt at all. I wanted to cancel so many times due to anxiety but Want was greater than Fear. Highly recommend this place.

Had a great consultation for Lasik at the Daly City office. The doctor and staff are friendly and everything was explained to me very well. Although it turns out I wasn't a candidate for Lasik because of my strong astigmatism, the doctor did the kindest thing by referring me to another doctor for possible Refractive Lens Exchange--a procedure I had never heard of. I was a candidate for RLE and had successful surgery to correct my lifelong vision problem! I will be forever grateful for Dr Hyver and his team for helping me find a path to "new vision", even though it was with a different doctor. Thank you!

Scott Hyver did a great job with my LASIK eye surgery - it's life changing!

My colleague had referred me to Dr. Scott Hyver previously, highly recommending him and his team, and I had my Lasik procedure done last March 2023. Overall, I had the best and most successful experience... from consultation, to pre-op, to live-op, to post-op. My consultation appointment was VERY thorough, we spent about an hour assessing my vision and I was a great candidate for Lasik. I had additional questions all the way leading up to my pre-op appointment and they were very prompt to answer. On the day of my operation, everything went SO smoothly and it was quick! All done within 25 mins. I would say I was in and out in under an hour, and they gave me CLEAR directions on aftercare. They continued to follow up with me 30 days and 60 days after. It's amazing how my vision kept getting better and better each time. Almost 1 year in, I got a regular eye exam, and my eye doctor was extremely impressed with how sharp my vision has been since Lasik. Overall, highly recommend 10/10. Nicest team and best doctor in the Bay Area.

I got PRK with Dr. Hyver in April. He and his staff are professional, friendly, and informative - they provided all of the information I needed to make the decision to get PRK (since I didn't qualify for LASIK). During the procedure, Dr. Hyver and his assistant guided me through every step of the process in a supportive manner. When I had a small complication during recovery, I called their office during off-hours and was able to speak with a medical professional within moments, who gave me steps to resolve the complication and move forward in making a complete recovery. I now have 15/20 vision and it's been life-changing!

Went through the PRK procedure. Though the recovery wasn't fun (which is inherent in the PRK procedure) I'm very happy with my 20/20 vision! The staff at ScottHyver Visioncare is top notch.

The most important aspect (obviously) is: they healed my eyes! But overall I had a great experience here, and chose them over less expensive (but still respectable) places. Every time I went, the staff made me feel very comfortable, and I even met with Scott Hyver himself on my first visit (which I've heard is not standard practice - some people don't meet their surgeon until 5 minutes before they go into the surgery room). They were very patient and didn't make me feel like I was overly anxious. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a laser eye surgeon.

Wanted to give a review about 2 months after my surgery to say that I had the best experience getting LASIK w Dr Hyver and my new sight is so amazing - better than 20-20! His staff was super supportive, walked me through the whole process w reminders and easy to understand directions, and it was wild how fast and easy the procedure was. I had dry eye for a few days and lights were blurry at night for about a month and now everything’s great. Highly recommend!

This lady who works on Thursdays at the Daly City location is very rude and arrogant to customers/patients. Never smiles and acts like a know-it-all. She's probably just a wannabe doctor or nurse.

Post SMILE with Dr. Hyver in June 2024: Left eye good; right eye blurry. Pre SMILE: -6.5 contacts/glasses with astigmatism on both eyes Overall, I am glad I can see things clearly now with both eyes. I wish my right eye were as good as my left eye, and the difference is hard to ignore. I am giving this business a 3-star rating not only because of the imperfect surgical outcome but also because I was unsatisfied with their communication. Examples: 1. During my consultation, I was only told that there would be a pre-op (dilation exam) before my surgery. During my pre-op, my doctor told me there was a "hole" in my right retina, and I needed to get it checked out by a retinol specialist before my surgery. I recognize that this step is necessary to ensure a safe surgery. Still, I wish I had been informed earlier that this might happen so I wouldn't have been so stressed about calling retinol specialists around the town and trying to squeeze an appointment within the very tight time frame between pre-op and op. 2. Two days before my op, the business called me and said I had to come in again for another check-up before my surgery. I WAS NOT GIVEN AN EXPLANATION on why this was needed. Again, I wish I had been informed earlier that this might happen so I wouldn't have been so concerned that something might be wrong with my eye numbers. 3. At my one-day post-op appointment, the doctor checked my eyes for 5 mins and said, “That would be everything for today 😊”. She would not have told me anything if I hadn’t asked her how my eyes looked. Upon my inquiries, she told me my eyes looked “good”, but no more details. I will have my 3-month post-op appointment in a couple of weeks. We will see how things go. I haven’t noticed any side effects other than my right eye is still blurry. Cost: $5600 ish for both eyes post VSP Premium insurance and employer benefit.

Highest quality care, professional team, outstanding results. - If you're considering laser vision correction, this is a premier location for that in the Bay Area. Update almost 7 years after my surgery: I had PRK on both eyes to correct myopia, zero side effects after the initial healing period, no issues with dry eyes, still have 20/20 vision.

Prior to getting my vision corrected by Dr. Hyver, I had been wearing corrective lenses for twenty years. Fixing my vision was something I always wanted to do, so I talked to several people who had lasik surgery for recommendations. The one name that kept coming up was Dr. Scott Hyver, soI scheduled a consultation appointment at one of his three Bay Area locations. From my first visit as a perspective client through the completion of my one-month post-op visit, Dr. Hyver and his staff made me feel special. They were both professional and caring about my well-being as they delivered their services and for my recovery afterward… even going so far as calling a few hours later to make sure my recovery was going well. In my case, Dr. Hyver told me during my pre-op exam that he would be able to correct my vision to 20/20. Well, it’s one thing to hear those numbers and another thing to walk out of surgery after 30 minutes and see better than I could ever remember seeing in my life (without corrective lenses). In fact, the results of my post-op exam (24-hours later) showed my vision was corrected to 20/15!!! So, if you are considering getting your eyes corrected, don’t waste your time researching the other guys. Take my recommendation and go straight to the best… Dr. Hyver! Thanks again, Dr. Hyver!
