Dr Bogard was exceptional in treating my retinal detachment. I saw him as a new patient on a Wednesday at Eskenazi Hospital and he got me into surgery the very next day. He and his staff cared about me as a person and I felt at ease. I feel blessed to have had him and his staff care for me. Thank you.

I can't review the doctors because they won't even let me come in to be seen. I had one of the 6 prior eye doctors I've seen send over a referral marked urgent and they called him back saying they "could not accommodate me." No details as to why or any referral elsewhere. I then called them myself several times trying to figure out why they won't see me and all I got was the same "can't accommodate you" line. One person added that they are short-staffed. I asked if there is a waitlist I could get on and they said no. The whole experience was really bizarre and frustrating. They also do not accept records or referrals via email, you have a fax them. I don't have a fax machine and didn't want to contact 6 doctors asking them all to fax records. The people who answer the phones were mostly pretty nice at least.

Dr Eikenberry is a very thorough and careful provider that makes me feel comfortable.

The staff is professional. The doctors are great. The billing department is terrible. They only have one way to take payment and this method is not normal. They don't send a paper bill, Which is still the normal way to bill people. They call you on an unidentified private number and tell you paying over the phone is the only option. In a time of phone scams and identity theft, the only method is to trust a person over the phone charging a different amount than what the doctor quotes you. You are there because you are having problems with seeing and you are supposed to read a credit card number off to a stranger over the phone. Oh, you can't pay the bill at the desk either and God help you if you ask for a receipt. Medical bills are a tax write off but receipts are apparently something you might get in 2 to 3 years. The billing system is terrible. The rest of the group is great. The doctors know the newest versions of ophthalmology but it would be nice if I got a bill and was able to send a check. Lastly, I was told by the nurse after my procedure to not strain my eyes and because of my meds to not operate machinery or sign legal documents or make purchases because the meds impair judgement. 3 hours later I get a call from a private number wanting me to read a credit card to pay my bill over the phone. Hypocrisy in action.

Was an hour late at this location. There is parking for 1-2 handicap vehicles. Parking at for all IU medical locations here is horrible. The cancer center claims to have valet parking, but, I have never seen it in operation.

I have been waiting for 55 minutes now. This is real time comment and still wondering when will I be called. Basically this is the worst wait time I have seen.
