I have been coming to Dr James Truong for seven years and I am happy with my decision to choose Ortho K here. I love that I am able to see more clearly while also correcting and stabilizing my vision. I have recommended it to other family members and will continue to recommend it to others!

I have been wearing ortho-k for ten years and it has been very helpful as someone who’s eyesight worsen so quickly I would be switching glasses every few months. In school it has helped make sure I was always able to see without the hassle of soft lens.

DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL!!!!! This is genuinely the worst optometrist in the world. "Dr." James Truong is a scammer and will refer you to the most expensive procedures which will not help. I did Ortho-K for about 1-2 years and my sight got worse. He will try to FEAR MONGER YOU!!! Do not listen to him or he will scam every single penny out of you. Not to mention, the technology is SEVERELY outdated and barely works. He doesn't care a single bit about your health and just wants your money which is proven obvious with a LV cloth draped over his machine.I tried doing his light therapy for a few months and had no results. He tried quoting me 1600$ for a new pair of Ortho-K lenses with "discounts." When I told him i would not wear Ortho-K anymore, he tried to put pressure and fear monger me into coughing up the money. I went to a different optometrist and they even agreed that he was spouting out nonsense, saying that if I were their patient they wouldn't even consider me a candidate for Ortho-K. I decided to go with glasses and the optometrist messed up the prescription after waiting 5 WEEKS for them to arrive. He will have you waiting half your life in his waiting room just for a consultation, even if you have an appointment. Even when in the procedure room, he periodically will walk out and proceed to not come back for another 10 minutes for no reason. He is constantly changing staff with a shady business trying to scam everyone they can get their grimy hands on. HE ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY, NOT YOUR HEALTH. If I could give this place negative stars I certainly would. WORST OPTOMETRIST EVER, GO TO A DIFFERENT PLACE.

The ortho-k lenses work well, but my child's eyes are sometimes dry and crusty after using them. The staff are nice and friendly, but do ask for whether their treatment services will actually suit you and your eyes. Their ortho-k plan is …

I have been wearing ortho k lenses for about 5-6 years before switching over to the soft ortho-k lenses. I was close to stopping ortho-k overall because the hard lenses weren’t fit for my lifestyle. I didn’t know the soft lenses were an option until I saw Dr. Truong. He gave me an option that worked better for my lifestyle. I think with the soft lenses people need to set their expectations as well. It’s not going to give clear vision because it doesn’t apply as much pressure as sleeping in the hard contacts all night will do. The soft lenses has reduced my reliance on glasses when I’m at home (even without wearing the contacts), and that’s all I ask for. His office is nice and open, and he is very knowledgeable on ortho-k (from my experience and compared to other ortho-k specialists I’ve been with prior). However, his staff does need a little more training in customer service and better organization.

Dr. Truong has always been a helpful and great optometrist. He walked my sisters and I through every step for Ortho-K. I have been doing Ortho-K for 6 years because it has been a great option and helps my vision. It is really convenient to have compared to normal contacts or glasses.

Just done my post 1-month Lasik checkup after 8 years wear Ortho K in this place. I have done the Lasik surgery with Dr Dan Tran by the recommendation from Dr James Truong and very satisfied with it when my eyes 95% recovered after 1 month. Although I have wear Ortho K a long time, I'm still able to take the Lasik surgery and become a candidate for Lasik after the careful exams and excellent knowledge from 2 wonderful doctors. Staffs in here are good and always do their best to serve me.

As a kid, I hated wearing glasses. After finding Dr. James Truong, he recommended Ortho K where are contacts where you wear at night. Since then, I have been wearing Ortho K for 10 years already with perfect vision. The service is excellent as well.

Ortho k has changed my life significantly ever since I started wearing it. Before contact lenses I was always breaking my glasses while playing sports and had to visit My eye doctor basically every month. But when I switched to Ortho k at James Trửơng OD I have never had a problem with my eyes again. I can play basketball without worrying about breaking my glasses and I can have 20/20 vision throughout the day doing what I want whether it be swimming at my friends house or just working on assignments for school.

Been going to see Jim [Dr. Troung] for over 12 years, he's not the cheapest.... he's not the most expensive - he's somewhere in the middle, slightly on the lower end of the scale. And keeps up with the tech - you can't ask for more than that. He always has options along with a friendly staff. His wife is a wonderful addition to the team that makes the visits just as pleasant. Which makes Dr. Truong and his wife together, a fantastic family optimetric clinic 👍.

I have been with Dr. James Truong for about 13 years now. Going through undergrad to graduate school, my eyesight have dramatically been maintained and consistent throughout the years. I started with 3.25 in both eyes and after 13 years it has only went up to 4.00/4.25! It has been ice saving for studying and doing active work.

I have been wearing ortho-k lenses for 6 years, and it is very convenient. I can play sports without worrying about breaking my glasses. The only thing about it, is that when i wake up my eyes are dry, but overall I highly recommend it..

I have been wearing Ortho-K lenses for almost 8 years since 2016. I am wearing Daytime Ortho-K Hard Lenses. The lenses fit my eye nicely and do not hurt my eye. I can now see very clearly with Daytime Ortho-K Hard Lenses during the day and I do not have to stress about remembering to bring glasses. i have been wearing ortho k lenses for 11 years and five months now so ever since i was 7 years old and i love it. i grew up playing a lot of sports and this really helped me to see very clear without wearing glasses and contact lenses since i would’nt be able to wear them because my sports are in the water. Ortho k has also benefited me in my studies because i wouldnt have to worry about wearing contacts and glasses or forgetting to put them in and ortho is just for night time. i love my ortho k treatment and i highly recommend ortho k and doctor james truong!

My experience on using Ortho-K was excellent because after my practice, I could see clearly and the workers were nice and helpful. I been doing Ortho-K for 11 months and I see no struggle with my eyesight.

I have been here for almost 7 years for soft/hard lens, and tried both ortho-k day and night time. The price is acceptable, although the service can be a bit slow. My eyes’ prescription is generally stable, though I get redness in eyes along with infection from time to time.

I’ve been doing Ortho-K here for nearly 8 years. Ever since, I haven’t had to worry about blurry eyesight and it works perfectly. I use it at night, so I don’t need to worry about it during the day. Dr. James Truong and his staff are friendly and good at what they do. I definitely recommend.

My eyesight got better using soft ortho k lenses. The soft ones were better than the hard nighttime ones as the amount of sleep I get on average is less than the one required for the hard lenses to work to their full effect. I would say the staff are nice however they slightly lack on punctuality as you will likely be waiting for a while for someone to attend to you.

My son has been doing Ortho-K at Dr. James Truong’s office for nearly 5 years now. The results are great. He didn’t have any trouble seeing or have any kind of infections. If you need help, just ask them for a consultation. The staffs are nice and helpful.
