Driving at night there were halos around lights and around the moon. I thought they were pretty. Eventually the halos got larger and then started to fill in. The halos around lights became a glare and were uncomfortable. The changes were so gradual they seemed normal. Doing surgery was no problem because magnification and surgical lights made everything clear. After I barely passed my DMV test with my right eye, I decided to see Dr. Bansal for an eye examination. Before I could say anything, Dr. Bansal told me “I’m surprised you passed your DMV exam. I told him my left eye was my “good eye”. Dr. Bansal told me after the lens in my right eye was replaced, I would realize how bad my left eye was. Replacement of the lenses in my eyes was easy and painless and took no more than 10 minutes. To say the results have been amazing is an understatement. I cannot remember ever seeing so clearly, and with such detail. The difference was dramatic after one lens had been replaced. I was continuously closing one eye at a time and seeing the difference. With the new lens everything is clear, white is white, and colors were bright. I can actually see the veins on leaves at a distance. With the other eye there was a yellow tint, nothing was completely clear. It has been a few months since both lenses have been replaced. I went to my optometrist. She did a complete examination of my vision. After all the different lenses were tested (the usual ” is 1 better than2”), she found my best vision was without any correction. I tested at 20:15. better than average vision! The glasses I had been wearing since I was 8 years old were no longer needed. There are very few things in life that can correct something to the point of perfection. My experience with Dr. Bansal has achieved that. He is a true master of his craft.

I was dreading my next DMV renewal as I knew I wouldn't pass the eye exam with my progressive cataracts. Went to Dr. Jay Bansal at LaserVue Eye Center in Santa Rosa for their Standard Cataract Surgery (covered by Medicare). He fixed both eyes and I now have 20/20 vision again! No floaters or other problems. Need half-moon reading glasses and a pair of computer glasses; otherwise my vision is perfect. And what a professional and friendly staff! Thank you, Dr. Jay!

I was told I could not have laser surgery on my eyes due to scarring on one eye, astigmatism and extreme myopia, but Dr. Bansal successfully removed the scarring and restored my vision to nearly 20/20. I literally cried with joy at the results. Dr. Bansal and his staff are kind, professional and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Bansal.
