Giving 1 star because of how poorly they handled the billing for my wife's glasses. Not only did they ignore my wife's name on the insurance, but they ignored the insurance company I gave them to look up. Both were given to them before the appointment. They had an employee who hasn't worked for them in 2yrs perform the eye exam, which didn't include eye dilation, and handle the billing. What's worse is she only works 2 days out of the week, and she has to be the one to contact the insurance company she actually billed, which hasn't been active for 3 years. Update: Yesterday, they were able to reimburse me for the glasses. They have been trying to contact us for some time now. The fact that they put the time and effort to fix this, is important.

I have been to Dr. Trejo’s a total of three times within the past month and not a great experience. They should really hire different gals to check in and answer phones in the reception area. I have came across three different girls that work the front, and each one has horrible costumer service skills and are extremely rude. My first appointment I was told to be there early and when I got there at the time I was suppose to, they were barely eating lunch. Which messed up my schedule because I do not live in town and had work that day. I went to the door to check if maybe I was mistaken and it was unlocked and the ladies just ignored me. As soon as I walked to my vehicle they stood up and opened the door. As I turned to make my way back, I get to the door & as I am about to grab the door a worker I did not even see rudely comes up behind me a moves me out of the way to walk in first. I was completely taken back. As I made my way to the front desk, all of the ladies demeanor was uncomfortable and rude. The second time it was the same, even when you walk up smiling and say hello they disregard you. Except this time when the doctor walked in, the front desk lady made sure to come up to me and ask how I was and thank you for patiently waiting I even got a smile. As soon as the doctor leaves, they went back to being rude. Today, I received a missed call from them, when I called back the lady barked at me saying “well do you even know why we called” “ why are you calling” “do you even have an appointment” My response was well I’m not sure. YOU called me so I am returning the call to find out. She responded “well maybe you should check your voicemail.” At that point I just said maybe my glasses are finally in? Maybe that’s why you called me?Her response was well you need to be here by 4:30 ( it was 4:25). To pick them up. I asked what time they opened and she rudely responded 9:30. I just hung up at that point. Once I pickup my glasses, it will definitely be the last time I step foot in there.

DR. Juan Trejo, made me feel super comfortable! He took his time to explain everything to me. He was very helpful and super caring about the concern i had. He even gave me his personal number in case I had any questions. I'll always go there for him to check my vision! best doctor in Salinas!
