I've being coming to this Kaiser for almost 20 years... In the last 5 years it has gotten more crowded, but customer service is at it's best, great MD's btw.

Lines are uber long for pharmacy. Their former OB/GYN didn't tell me she moved facilities, when I made the appointment nor when she moved. Super unprofessional. They also need a separate number from their general one because it did take a while to reach this specific facility. The machine hung up 3 times. Then it's the 2nd time the receptionists are rude. The first time, my doctor told me I can go in at anytime for a weight check in (thyroid issues) during the day of my appointment (obviously within their operation hours). Apparently it's not a thing and the receptionist wanted me to reschedule. The security guard got a higher up for me and they said they could in fact do what my doctor told me first. I don't get why the receptionist was being difficult. Today, I had an appointment at 2:50pm for a TB test (ive never had one). I am unable to drive, so I set to order an uber 40 minutes before my appointment to ensure I get in on time. Unfortunately they didn't have enough drivers, but I called Kaiser ahead to let them know if I can still make it and they said yes as long as it was no more than 15 minutes late. I've been waiting for an hour and no ones called my name. I go to the receptionist and she said my only option was to reschedule. I explained what they told me over the phone. She asked me where I was going to get them read. Since I've never had a test before I didn't know what she meant by that so she proceeded to give me their business hours. I asked her what she meant by read and she just kept saying, "you need them read. Where are you going to get them done?" It wasn't until way after she explained what "read" was to me. Honestly I felt like she made me feel stupid based on her tone., even more considering I'd never taken a TB test before and my anxiety made me more nervous. I've never had a receptionist do that. I think if it was an issue to begin with, they should not have told me I can make an appointment for a Friday. Or they could have told me "10 minutes would be too late, let's reschedule." Not let me sit for an hour after they said they could still see me. Having anxiety, I felt like I had no type of help both times. This location is closer to my home but I think Downey has treated patients better in terms of receptionists. The nurse who did help me was super nice and I'm thankful she took time to see me.

Pretty helpful but the lines are crazy and too long in the pharmacy. The line was backed up all the way to the Laboratory! I also feel that the stuff is very polite; however, I don't like the idea that when you are given an appointment time it should be kept close to the time not 20 minutes or so later to be called. No matter if you let them know you haven't been called yet, they will politely understand when you were still wait an extra 5 or 10 minutes. Our appointment times need to be respected. Kaiser does cost many of us.
