Picking out your new glasses and frames should be fun but Jale Amir made it miserable. If you could chose another dispenser to help you, I highly recommend it.

I would have given this place a zero if it was an option. Today was my first time walking in. There was about 6 people at the front desk. I ask how I can sign up for an appointment. The ladies at the front were rude. I have never been to an office where the people at the front desk were this rude. This was very upsetting I expected more from Kaiser Permanente.

I’ve called multiple times and they never answer no matter what times or days I’ve called. They ask you to leave a call back number and never call. Even their internal appointment system cannot get them to answer the phone.

Came here with the intention of updating my prescription and everyone was so lovely. Despite this being my first time at the facility, I was in and out within 30 minutes. Dr.Karbassi was patient and answered any concerns I had.

Forced to come here since pan city closed contact lens department during COVID. overall experience bad, and made even worse by the online website. Tried calling at least once an hour all day that optometry was open to place an order for contacts. Every single time the call gets dropped. The tech then took my information and said someone will call me later in the day to order. Call never happened. This is frustrating as online you cannot order contacts for a new prescription. Somehow this is beyond kaisers capabilities as a multibillion dollar company. You can only reorder previously ordered prescriptions. There is no other way to order contacts without driving all the way down in person. There is no direct number for the contact lens ordering. You have to first, if lucky, have your call be picked up by optometry. Then you have the never ending wait of waiting for a tech to pick up the line, which never happened in an ENTIRE business with calling once an hour. To be fair, calls were only picked up ~60% from optometry. Kaiser could be doing so much better by having new prescriptions available online to order, a direct contact ordering line, or even a way to request an online chat/phone call with a tech, but no. They force you to further overwhelm an already overwhelmed department/line that has most likely been diminished to the bare minimum so they can continue in to rake in profits while customers have no choice but to comply.

Waited over 2 weeks for my optometry appointment for my contact prescription. Now my contacts are taking over 2 weeks to ship and asked for any samples to get me by until they come in and Sal in the department said No immediately. Thanks for nothing

This department runs so poorly with ridiculous delays and unprofessional staff

I brought my 14 year old son here to get a pair of glasses. I used the prescription from the exam to both purchase a pair of glasses online at another business as well as through Kaiser, because I was told the Kaiser pair could take 4-6 weeks to be done. I received the glasses I ordered online and found the prescription to be AWFUL, absolutely wrong. The glasses were made correct, it was the prescription that was wrong. My son couldn't see with them on, they were almost a whole power too strong in each eye according to a current Costco prescription. I called Kaiser and was told to come in and it can be corrected for the lenses we ordered through them. We went back in to Kaiser and they initially said they could fix the ones I orderd from them with the prescription I got from Costco 6 months ago. Now they are refusing to remake the glasses I ordered through them and will NOT use the other, valid prescription we have. Their doctor made the mistake, but I'm the one who has to jump through hoops to fix it by exchanging the other pair i bought online, then bringing the repaired lenses into their office to prove to them the costco prescription works? Why should we have to show them that the costco prescription works if it's valid? Or wait to schedule another appointment with another kaiser doctor which I don't care to experiment with again. I shouldn't have to come back in more than once to pick up our corrected glasses/lenses. Will never use this office again.

Ordered reading glasses and prescription is wrong. Rep that helped me was rude and does not care about members. Went back on 1/2026. Service is worse.
