The optical shop managed to break my glasses, then failed to notify me that they couldn't fill my prescription (the employee who said they'd emailed me lied about doing so). I had to call them to find out that my glasses were "ready." When I went in to pick them up, I found out that they weren't ready at all--they were broken. The optician I spoke with was apologetic but offered no solutions. I asked to have the manager call me. And he did!! First thing the next morning and followed up with an email and a very acceptable solution. Good work, Larry!!!

The staff at the Brighton Optical Shop are great! They take great care in adjusting glasses to fit properly. They even found a problem with how my glasses (which they did not make) were drilled. Some of the most skilled and helpful people in the industry. Highly recommend.

TLDR: Extremely difficult appointment scheduling / contact process for the Kellogg Eye Center Optical Shop. To be seen initially, you have to schedule an appointment out several months in advance. I even had the frames already and just needed to have the prescription filled and it took 2 months for an available appointment. After that initial appointment, it took 3 weeks for my glasses to be ready for pick up. Then I had to wait another 3 days for a scheduled pick-up appointment to be available. During my pick-up appointment, I noticed the prescription was off and my long distance vision was blurry. The optician told me to wear them for a week and see if my eyes simply "adjusted." Shockingly, my eyes have not adjusted and now I'm trying to schedule a re-working of the prescription and I'm looking at another week out to be seen. Also the secretarial staff rarely answers the phone during posted business hours so have fun leaving voicemails. Maybe I'll have a new pair of glasses that I can see with by 2022? Go to Costco and save yourself the headache.
