My son was seen by Dr.Gitschlag before a great Dr. Today I called to schedule an appointment with Dr.Schmitt and was told to call back in November to schedule for April/May next year also with different Dr since Dr. Schmitt only sees surgical patients. Front desk lady who answered the phone by the name of Misty if I got her name correct was very unprofessional and put me on hold twice. Only to come back to the phone and tell me what I did or didn’t do to improve my sons eye health. She is not the Dr to do this and was very rude. Sadly this office has gone down the hill and is not caring for existing patients.

Staff is very rude and condescending. We found a better doctor in Hardin Valley. Do not go to Knoxville Pediatric Ophthalmologist.

Take your baby somewhere else. The doctors are good but the front desk staff is horrible. Also be sure the optical part is open before you go, because you can go but there is a chance that it won’t be open during the hours that it says. SMH. So disappointed.
