Let’s first talk about the star of the show, The front desk lady! She’s so sweet, attentive, and friendly. I also love the play center in the waiting room as It had toys for all ages of children. I was running a little late but they luckily had a 30 minute grace period. The doctor took his time and was patient with my 8 month old. He had lots of toys to keep her attention during the exam and talked to her. He’s knowledgeable and yes, he’s not the friendliest personable person to parents but I assume it’s because he’s there to focus on kids (which he’s great with). he’s serious about his job and providing an accurate diagnosis. He also runs the place and he's the only doctor so give him slack. Also, if you have a morning appointment then it’s usually not a long wait at all. I usually do around 10am and get called right back. Be aware that there is no changing table in the bathrooms!

Dr. Spencer is very good, he knows what he is doing but he really needs to work on his attitude with parents. He is great with the kids, but he could be nicer to parents. I work two jobs and was very tired when I took my son and almost fell asleep after working 17 hrs. When he was done with my son, he was short with me and when I said thank you I accidently said Mr. Instead of Dr. And while I was quick to correct myself, he snapped at me and said "it's Doctor." While he is a good doctor and thorough, I switched eye doctors because of this.

We started going to Koala when my kids were very young. The only good thing I can say is that the Dr seems to know what he's doing. But that is where the positives end. He has absolutely no personality whatsoever. Today was the last straw for us. We waited over an hour for him to actually come into the room.. with no apology for the delay..... after asking the lady from the desk twice what the time frame was because we've been waiting so long.. she told me she had no control over it and told me to tell the Dr how ridiculous it was, so I did. He then copped an attitude and raised his voice telling me that he didn't make me wait, that he's just busy. He then sent me to the check out desk to get my son's prescription..... nobody was at the desk.... I waited 10 minutes and still nobody. I go down the hall and yell "hello" twice before he finally comes out and gives me the paperwork. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
