I wish I could share 5 stars like everyone else, but the lack of customer service won’t allow me to do so. I was late to my appointment and was looking to reschedule (stuff happens). Somehow, my tardiness caused a smirk on Savannah’s face. After providing my last name which is one letter off from the current president, Savannah tells her coworker that the name that popped up (current president) is her favorite person. Please leave the politics out of this because honestly, it’s a sensitive subject. To put the icing on the cake, Savannah is checking my insurance. She proceeds to tell me I have the form of a certain vision insurance that’s not accepted at LensCrafters. At this point, I could really care less because I need glasses to see so I was willing to pay out of pocket. I rescheduled my appointment for Thursday and left the store. Shortly after leaving, I called the West Palm Beach location who had an appointment available sooner. The nice representative I spoke to at the WPB location asked for my insurance and I explained what Savannah previously explained to me. The representative went above and beyond to double check my insurance and told me the insurance that I have IS accepted (wow, what are the odds?). I couldn’t help but be shocked and upset at the same time because of the lack of going the extra step to review the insurance, but I was overly appreciative to the WPB location for doing what Wellington should’ve done which took less than a minute. I called Wellington to speak with the manager about this (Lori), who offered no apology and just said “I take it you’re canceling your appointment.” Maybe the entire Wellington staff could all benefit from a customer service training course? I’m not even writing this review as a Karen complaint. I’m writing this review to inform others that their customer service sucks. Majorly. I’ll continue to drive out of my way to other LensCrafters just not to deal with people whose personality is similar to a wet mop.
