I dont even know where to start. So let's start with the good experience and why It got 1 star.
The staff at the Citilight Optometry were accommodating, kind and patient. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Chen for my annual eye check up and it was pleasant.
Now they move me with the Lens Crafters Optician/Associate to discuss what kind of frames I wanted for my prescription glasses.
I forgot her name, I think It's Patricia not sure but the first thing she pointed is the expensive/branded ones like gucci right after I sat down. She complimented my jewelry as well like sweet talking me. I finally chose the one I liked and when she did all the calculation with my EyeMed insurance, It came out to almost $500. I ALMOST TOOK THE BAIT because I dont know anything about glasses but I went with my GUT and say no I'm not buying it today. The way she sweet talks me icks me like she wanted me to spend my money so that she can get her commission.
My co worker who has bad eyes whom I asked was shook about the price, It turns out the associate that helped me at the store put ALL THE ADD ONS without even asking me if I wanted it or need it, when I tell you my eyes are great! Just needed something for the blue light so I wont strain my eyes working in the computer all night. That is absolutely disgusting!
What I did was order my glasses online from almost $500 I only paid $200+ for everything PLUS i got the transition lenses. Pro tip BEFORE you buy ANYTHING from that store, make sure check online first and you can fill up your own prescription and send it directly to your house.
After a week, I came back to this store because they gave me a wrong prescription. When the glasses came last night and tried it Its too strong for my eyes so I had to do the exam again WHICH again Citilight Optometry was very kind to assist me with.
Now I have to return/exchange my glasses I specifically went to this location because its a core store, it means I can do returns at the store. I got assigned to the same associate again, Patty. She looks like she doesnt want to assist me and giving me an attitude when she saw I didnt bought the glasses at the store and did it online instead. I confronted her how she's trying to trick me with the price and not asking me about the add ons she put I was very upset.
Telling me they dont do returns at the store and she doesn't know how to do it and forcing me to order it to the store. When I call costumer service/ Costumer care this location is absolutely a core store and can definitely do returns.
Her desk is the one all the way at the back. Save yourself some money and lies dont go to her. First time going to lens crafters and its absolutely disgusting this associate is.
Lens Crafters costumer service was beyond accommodating and kind and the one at macy's location but this specific location i am very dissatisfied specially with the associate's greediness and lies.

Janet needs a raise! She was kind and courteous, and so knowledgeable after a very long day at work before heading to my eye appointment. She was patient and lovely and even gave me a few fruit snacks after she realized that I had not eaten all day lol. Such a lovely experience and so happy with my glasses. I just picked them up they were ready days and days earlier than I expected. Just a lovely experience. I adore Janet!

I had an outstanding experience at LensCrafters, all thanks to Patricia! She was not only incredibly friendly but also highly knowledgeable. Patricia gave me her undivided attention and provided me with invaluable advice on selecting the perfect frame color to complement my features. Her expertise and warm demeanor made my visit a 10 out of 10. I can't thank her enough for the exceptional service!
