This office needs to be investigated thoroughly and I recommend patients NOT GO TO DR. COHN or any service he is affiliated with. I first saw Dr. Cohn on Wed June 21st 2023, after weeks of headaches, eye pain, and extreme sensitivity to light. I went in wearing dark shades and again explained my issues to his staff (had previously done so to two staff members pre-appointment). I saw Dr. Cohen himself for a MAXIMUM of 4 minutes TOTAL, during which he: -Quickly reviewed my notes in his system, -Did a quick look at my eyes with a light -Recommended $40 eye drops and -Gave a pitch for using their contracted prescription company over any other pharmacy to to save money (this was false, I later found out it was almost double if I had purchased elsewhere) I impressed upon the doctor the need for me to get this issue with my eyes sorted quickly due to the nature of my work, the pain that I was in and my inability to pay hundreds in copays for repetitive visits. To which I was told not to worry, one more visit to do a visual field test in a week. While waiting for them to get themselves together, I listened in on the office manager scolding other staff for adding unnecessary add-ons to patient prescriptions which resulted in thousands of undisclosed added costs to the prescription. The patient had called in upset. (I believe this was related to progressive lenses -my memory regarding the exact term used is sketchy ). The manager went in to confront Dr. Cohen on the issue. That should have been my cue to not go forward but I digress. The following week I had over 5 calls with Dr. Cohn’s office staff - JUST TO GET AN IDEA OF MY COPAY. Up until the morning of my scheduled follow-up appointment on June 30th, I could not get a response from the office, so I called in and told them I would not be coming in that day due to the confusion. I received a call 3 days later asking about my “no-show” for the appointment. I clarified my reason for canceling and was told they would find out and call me back. 36 hours later they called back with a quote for $76 copay and a new appointment. Continued in next review.

I first went to Dr. Cohn for a work related problem with one eye several years ago. They fit me in so I could come in immediately and took care of the issue. Since then, I have been going to him for my annual exams and any eye issues that come up for several years. His office is comfortable and welcoming. They are very accommodating and good about sticking to appointments. I never have a long wait to be seen. Dr. Cohn and his entire staff are very friendly and professional. They make you feel comfortable and are knowledgeable and helpful. I have recommended him to some of my co-workers (his office is close to ours) and they have also gone to him for eye care. I am happy to have found Dr. Cohn and am very confident in trusting my vision care to him.

I known Dr. Leon Cohn for over 20+. I known him since I was first diagnose with Glaucoma at the age of 19. He has been my only doctor since and has always been on top of my care. From day one he and his staff been friendly. He has always gone out of his way to ensure that I am getting the proper care. Refer me to other specialist to get second opinions and has always been very open to answering my questions. I highly recommend him and his office staff, specially Nordia who I have known since my first visit to his practice. He is a doctor that cares.
