The Lions Eye Foundation of California-Nevada provides free ophthalmic examinations, surgeries, and medications to uninsured residents of Northern California and Nevada. It treats glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Patients are screened and referred by Lions Clubs, physicians, clinics, nurses, and opticians.

Care is delivered by resident physicians at Sutter California Pacific Medical Center under board-certified ophthalmologists. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit has operated over 65 years and grown to over 293 member clubs with roughly 10,000 members. It holds the GuideStar Exchange Platinum Seal.
