We've been coming here for several years. They always work with us on scheduling. Whenever we need glasses repaired they are quick. Dr. Peterson is helpful and efficient!

I've used Lubbock Eye Clinic for a few years. Overall, a good experience and staff is exceptional (5 Stars). I recommended Lubbock Eye Clinic to my 95-year-old mom when she was needing cataract surgery.
She schedule her surgery and we went to NorthStar for her 8:45 a.m. appointment to meet her doctor from Lubbock Eye Clinic. About 9:30-ish my mom went up to ask how much longer it would be and the lady, and we were sitting right by reception, said "Well the doctor decided to start at 10 and he didn't tell his staff so they couldn't call anyone, but you're third in line if you don't mind waiting."
My mom had been fasting since the night before and had already complained to me a number of times about being hungry. She's 95 for Christ's sake; I'm not sure if anyone's time is more valuable than a 95-year-old's.
She finally went back for surgery a little after 11. They came and got me as "she was back in recovery" about 2:00 p.m. (she had obviously sat in the back for at least another hour) and I went to this curtained room and she was in one of those gown's sitting in a chair and I walked in and she asked "do you think it's okay if I get dressed?" I stood around in that room for about 15 or 20 minutes and the nurse came back in to remove the IV and blood pressure cuff and I left as she also told mom she could get dressed. I'm not sure why I was asked to come back.
We left around 3 p.m. It was a long, exhausting, ridiculous day. But the staff was very nice.
Mom had an appointment a week after the surgery for a checkup at Lubbock Eye Clinic with her surgeon/doctor. Her appointment was 8:30. We arrived at 8:15. The hours on the office door said they didn't open until 8:30. Four other people showed up before the doors opened.
How you are to have an 8:30 appointment when the doors open at 8:30 and there are other patients waiting is beyond my ability to understand, but mom was taken back for her 8:30 appointment at around 9 a.m. To me, if you're scheduling people for when you open and each takes a few minutes at the window, you're scheduling to start your day running behind and you're showing a gross lack of respect for others' time.
Today for another follow-up the same thing, although mom was asked back at about 8:45 so 15 minutes late. And if "15 minutes" is no big deal then the doctor shouldn't mind waiting for me for 15 minutes because I'm finished arriving early for my appointments--you're behind already--you have zero respect for my time--why am I going to be concerned with yours?
Does that seem harsh? It shouldn't. In their waiting room there's a table tent that states "Leave a google review," so today I thought "okay."
In addition, I learned to read a clock and use a calendar about 6 decades ago. I'm not proud but I don't even put up with "tardy" at work (and I'm not a supervisor any longer).
Here's the deal: my secondhand moves at exactly the same speed as everyone else's and my dad was a doctor and here's what I learned--no one's time is more important than anyone else's and I don't care what their profession is.
If there's not an emergency and if someone can't be on time, learn to read a clock (the little hand is the hour; the big hand is the minute--and there are a host of digital options).
