Dr Zhang was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Every experience I've had at Daugherty has been great. And I am very happy to add Dr. Zhang and an additional expert.

This doctor was recommended to me by my optometrist. She seems to receive favorable reviews, so I gave her a try. I guess I’m in the minority when I say I didn’t like her. I didn’t think she explained things well and seemed in a hurry to get on to the next patient. For example, we discussed punctal plugs, but before I knew it she was jamming them in my eye without warning. She treated me for dry eye disease and prescribed some drops which any eye doctor can do. She stated that my corneas have scarring and recommended surgery since the scarring was impeding my vision. This group schedules surgeries one day in advance, so everything is up in the air until the last minute. No pre-surgery instructions until the eleventh hour. In my case, they were supposed to get pre-auth from my insurance and failed to do so. I had to scramble late Friday to make sure my insurance would cover the surgery on Monday morning. The day of the surgery I arrived at 7:30 as scheduled. At 8:30 they finally took me into a room to explain post op procedures and said the doctor would be in shortly to discuss. A minute later someone came in to tell me the surgery was cancelled because a tech “didn’t show up” to work and asked if I could wait until 1:00 (I did not). The doctor didn’t bother to take 30 seconds out of her life to apologize for inconveniencing me or my family member who took unpaid time off work since I wouldn’t be able to drive. However, I shouldn’t have been surprised because I heard two people come into the office for an appointment with her while I was waiting. So, was overbooking the real reason for the cancellation?? Honestly, I think I dodged a bullet after they told me to contact their call center in China if there was an emergency after surgery. Whaaat! The overall experience with this organization is lack of communication and a “move them in, move them out” mentality. I found another doctor who didn’t say they would give me a relaxant so I wouldn’t “freak out” (yes, that’s what Dr Zhang said to me). The procedure was much simpler than she made it seem and the new doctor didn’t need a tech present to perform the 15 minute procedure. I’m so glad I chose to move on from this cattle drive and found someone who cares about clear communication and patient satisfaction.

I like Dr Zhang and her office staff - professional, accessible, and warm people. She’s helping me with my dry eye. I’m very glad I chose her from reviews online.
