MY OPTHALMOLOGY DR WAS HORRIBLE. WHEN I SWITCHED TO ANOTHER DR, SHE CANCELLED ALL MY MEDS SAYING THEY ARE NO LONGER NEEDED. THE INITIALS ARE CZ BETTER LUCK TO YOU THAN IT WAS TO ME

Ive been going to this clinic since 2022. I went in with severe corneal ulcers that took 4 months to heal leaving giant deep scars in my cornea, we tried scleral lens which I could not tolerate, ending with a corneal transplant, and cataract surgery. I find the staff wonderful Dr Chandbour, and Dr McClellan are great. The waiting room is always full, yet keep in mind they take urgent eye injury patients as well as scheduled appointments. Their staff would appreciate people having compassion for others. Also, their scheduling team does mention to be prepared to be there up to 4 hours. (This allows for these types of situations) 5 stars and much gratitude to this clinic for all they do!

I came in for what was supposed to be a routine annual eye exam, and the experience was extremely disappointing. I ended up being billed for a diagnosis that the doctor never even discussed with me, and received no treatment for. On top of that, I was charged a facility fee simply because Fairview’s scheduling team directed me to that location so I could get an earlier appointment — something that was completely out of my control. What makes this worse is that I had previously seen this same provider for a specific issue. At that time, I was told I could not complete my annual exam during that visit and needed to schedule a separate appointment. Now, after doing exactly that, I’m being billed for more than just a standard exam, which feels misleading and unnecessary. Customer service has also been very poor. Getting clear answers about billing has been frustrating, with little transparency or accountability. Overall, this feels like a system designed to add extra charges wherever possible, without actually providing additional care. I would strongly caution others — double check what you are being scheduled for and what you may be billed. Based on my experience, you may end up paying for services you didn’t ask for and didn’t receive.

I had a traumatic eye injury back in January causing me to have, what is now, my fourth surgery. I've been to this clinic almost every single week for the last 7 months. The staff has never been rude or made me feel rushed all while managing hundreds of patients a day. This place can be a mad house depending on the day and time, but you can bet on being taken care of and seen properly. Dr. Chanbour and his staff have become my second family, and the feeling of genuine care is apparent with every visit.

One doctor advised a treatment that was contrary to newer recommendations. In fact, the longer a person persued what she advised, the less effective the newer treatment would be. Another doctor told me I did not have a condition that two other eye doctors and an internist had already told me I have. They were correct. (I was seeing this doctor for something else and had included the diagnosis in my history.)

Terrible communication. They don't email a confirmation of your appointment, and it is nowhere on the app. Sent a message 2 weeks ago asking to confirm the time, no reply. Multiple messages from automated system reminding there is an appointment on xx date, no time listed. The absolute bottom of the barrel, very poorly managed.

You will literally age, starve and die waiting to be seen by ANYONE in this geographical hellscape. The staff members are as friendly as the characters from Beetlejuices netherworld

In 2014-15 I experienced racism here in this clinic calling and also trying to make an appointment my own doctor at the time wouldn’t believe me she was horrible I didn’t know I had a sinus infection and thought it was my eyes there was this horrible male nurse who would always be transferred the phone to when I would call just a horrible bully who would yell at me. I am kicked out of this clinic because of racism that I faced here and also I was talked down to by a head doctor who humiliated me just not a great place.
