He genuinely cares about his patients and strives to give as much care and attention to every detail he can. He answers any questions as precisely as possible and in "layman's terms". He doesn't "talk down" to you but he wants to make sure you understand what is going on with your eyes.

I have been going to Dr. El-Gasim for years and I trust him exclusively. He at times gives me choices that will help me. He is a good doctor.

Dr. El-Gasim is an outstanding ophthalmologist. When I get eye injections from him, there are very little side affects or complications. (I had quite a few from other doctors!!!) He is one of my favorite doctors!

When my regular eye doctor confirmed my suspicions of dry turning into wet macular degeneration, Dr. El Gasim agreed to see me that very afternoon--even though he was fully booked. Thank you so much!

My husband, Tony has had issues with his macular hemorrhaging off and on for years now. Since we moved to the White Mts and met Dr El-Gasim, (out of despiration) He has taken excellent care of my husbands eyes and keeps him on a schedule so as to be able to monitor any developments. Treatment was injections of antibiotics and such in the eye. That is a terribly scary procedure for someone and yet Dr. El-Gasim reassured and comforted him, so that now it is actually no big deal for my husband to have an injection in his eye. We are so thankful to have had the pleasure to meet and become a client of Dr. Mahmood El-Gasim's.

Dr. El-Gasim is highly educated and knowledgeable about eye problems. I particularly appreciate that he waits till a new medication has proved itself before he uses it on his patients. He also takes the time to understand and advise when eye problems interfere with life; as when it’s time to stop driving. I have been seeing doctors at BDP for 9 years, every 4-6 weeks, for treatment for a retinal vein occlusion. I have had good results, but I think every person has a different experience and results. I like medical problems so I do my research. You also have to trust your doctor and be honest with him. Dr. Mahmood El-Gasim is a good doctor he will answer your questions and explain things. I personally recommend him, but that is from my case. Yours might be very different.

We got lucky finding Dr El Gasim in Chandler. He is a highly specialized retinal doctor. He provided my mother of 96 excellent care for her ongoing retinal condition. He was patient & professional. He asked numerous questions regarding her history, studied her history from a prior provider, and showed great concern for her care. We had transferred care from the Shiley Eye Institute at UCSD, and searched for an equally qualified provider here in Arizona. Mission accomplished.
