I went here once and will never return. I’ll start with Dr. Werner whom I felt was dismissive and condescending. No bedside manner whatsoever. His assistant was no better, a nasty young woman who seemingly felt it was okay to be rude because her boss was. I didn’t care for the office either. Still had Covid spacing circles on the floor despite the office being packed.. Some staff were dressed in clothing that one would lounge around at home in rather than wear to work in a professional environment. I continually get emails and texts to make my next appt. When I call to tell them to stop reaching out, I can never get a person on the line. On a positive note, the young man who checked the pressure in my eyes was friendly and professional. That’s about all the positivity I can muster.
Had a terrible time trying reach someone to book an appointment, and then when I turned up they told me they need to move the appointment
I was not getting any satisfaction from the dr.. I love when he says if it gets worse come in .. I’m here now it’s bad you won’t help that was it .. dr Garabaldi saved me no more troubles .. and in dr Werner’s office staff told me he will have u back every 2 weeks I got the hint ..

I was referred to Dr. Werner from another ophthalmologist because she was concerned of some pretty serious issues. Dr. Werner spent only about a minute with me, dismissed my concerns, was condescending and rude. He told me to see a “medical doctor” for my issues. Is that not what he is? Waste of time and money. I do not recommend this doctor at all! His staff was amazing though. They spent time to listen about my concerns.

I am very happy with Dr. Chang at the Garden City office. As far as Dr. Werner is concerned, that is a different story. I found his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. He was rude and condescending. The technician who tested my eyes did not do the complete test. She taped my eyelid up and tested my vision, she never tested my eyes without the tape. Dr. Werner told me that my insurance would not cover the eyelid lift procedure. How would he know that my hooded eyelids were blocking my vision when the tech taped my eyelids up? I ended up going to another doctor. I will never go back to see Dr. Werner again.
