The lady behind the counter at the eye glass section was pretty friendly and Dr Kirkland has a friendly attitude, that was the only positive. One of the front desk receptionist is rather gruff and short with older patients. The big issue was they dilated my mother’s eyes with a different/stronger solution than she gets at her regular eye doctor and they did not inform her she could experience pain and significant sensitivity to lights for DAYS afterward. She could barely get any sleep the night after this was done due to pain and when she called the next day to speak to a nurse, none were available. She did receive a call back later that day stating which test they had given her and she was told there is nothing their clinic is able to do for her regarding this issue and she should be better in a couple hours. After that call she went to urgent care hoping for help. Urgent cares do not treat that type of injury, so obviously she went there wasting her time. Today is the third day she can’t see further than like two feet ahead and she has to wear sun glasses because she’s still very light sensitive. She is now worse off than she was before she went to that appointment and hoping she’ll be back to the point she was before that appointment within a week… Who gives a test of this kind without informing the patient of the possible side effects? Then to tell them they cannot be helped or try to help remedy the issue for the patient! So our impression of this clinic is they’re impatient at the front, do not communicate thoroughly, dismissive of patient complaint.

Dr. Kirkland and his staff are warm and friendly. Even though this was my first visit they made me feel as though they had known me for years. They were very thorough and sensitive to my needs. I look forward to my next visit.

Dr. Houser and her staff are the very best! Dylan and Daniel, two of her Tech support staff, were so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable! Although I am bed- or wheelchair-bound 24/7, Dr. Houser, Dylan, and Daniel made accommodations and were very thorough in their exams. When Dylan found out the Para-transit bus was waiting on me, he helped me get through my final paperwork quickly and efficiently so I didn’t get left behind. Very personable and professional staff. (…and their “new” location on University Dr., east of the bypass, is so spacious and comfortable - so welcoming and accessible. I feel as though I’m being treated like royalty at my appointments!)

The staff is very friendly and professional. The doctors are excellent. They are always very concerned about giving the best care possible to their patients.
