I was a new patient at Mayberry Vision today (04/29/2026), and I had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how beautiful, neat, and exceptionally clean the office was. Of course you expect a doctor’s office to be clean, but this office felt especially inviting. The setup, the way the glasses are displayed, and the overall atmosphere felt very classy and elegant. Even the waiting area had thoughtful details that made the experience feel extra special. They had coffee and Doughboy donuts beautifully displayed in an elegant glass-covered cake stand, which was such a classy and welcoming touch. The staff was incredibly kind from beginning to end. The technician who brought me back for my exam was so professional and explained everything clearly, which I really appreciated. The doctor was excellent. She listened, took her time, and thoroughly explained my exam results and what was going on with my eyes. I learned so much during my visit and truly appreciated how informative and attentive she was. When it was time to choose my glasses, Megan was amazing. She was incredibly helpful and picked out several beautiful frames for me. It was hard to choose because she selected so many great options, but she absolutely understood my style and helped me find the perfect pair. She really clocked my style and nailed it. Thank you, Megan — you rock! This was a 5-star experience for me, and I highly recommend Mayberry Vision. 10/10.

First time visit for me and I will definitely be back and would recommend this to everyone in our area! The whole process from scheduling to reminders to the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness and welcoming layout of the office to the proficiency and knowledge of the staff and doctor was incredibly warm and comforting. The doctor was so thorough and the whole process was efficient but not rushed at all. Very personalized and professional. Everyone go to Mayberry Vison if your vision is getting a little old and tired like mine!

I recently had my first eye exam from Mayberry Vision and it was a wonderful experience. Clean and modern facility. Outstanding staff. During check-in, I met Patient Coordinator Lesly and then I was initially seen by Optometric Technician Grace who administered the multi-part exam. Afterwards, Dr. Amber Belaustegui, OD met with me and went over every part of that exam, in detail. Everyone was very pleasant, enthusiastic, thorough and professional. Absolutely top shelf. My husband and I always look forward to seeing Dr. Rowan and the staff. Dr. Rowan is extremely knowledgeable and always takes the time to answer any questions. The staff is exceptional---Friendly, Courteous, Helpful and always with a smile. I highly recommend Mayberry Vision for all your eye care!! Wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

My appointment started five minutes earlier than scheduled, which was great. The early screening test were efficient and I felt provided valuable information to make my appointment with Dr. Rowen more successful and thorough. The people there are always friendly and great to work with. Jenna explains the different tests she runs well. Dr Belaustegui always takes the time to answer my questions and helps me understand the eye's aging process. Poor Winnie has the patience of a saint when it comes to helping me decide on a frame I like. Thank you everyone!

Every part of my experience was exceptional from the time I walked in, until the time I left. Doctor B was incredibly knowledgeable and the office has the most state of the art equipment! No dilation! The selection is perfectly filled with high quality options and Anne is a great guide! I am so greatful I was referred to this office!

Dr Rowan and his staff are the best! It took me years to find an optometrist who actually and sincerely engaged with me as a patient. He's been my optometrist for almost 20 years. When asked, he's the only one I recommend!

It's always a pleasure to come into the office. I never wait more than five minutes. All the tests go smoothly and the doctor doesn't keep me waiting. My appointment was only a half and hour and I ordered new glasses too. I feel I'm in expert hands with Dr. Rowan.

Always a great experience! Dr. Rowan and so personable and professional. He helps with all your questions and any symptoms. He also is very accommodating to my situation and helps complete my work related forms. And his team is also very helpful. I appreciate this office very much!

Such an incredible experience! I felt seen and cared for. I’ve never had an eye exam before - admittedly because I have great vision - but I had something in my eye right before a big overseas trip - and the team and doctor took such great care and made me feel confident! I’m so grateful.

The great reviews weren't wrong. I was seen by another doctor because the other one was busy. I was very appreciative that I didn't have to wait long for my appointment. It really show teamwork on their part. The doctor was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions, and gave me a plan to resolve an eye injury. All the staff were friendly and I genuinely enjoyed talking to them. They gave me some payment options and I didn't feel pressured on any fronts, and that was very nice as a patient and customer. For my first interaction with this office, I would highly recommend them. I will definitely be a return patient.

Dr. Belaustuegui is incredibly thorough! The front office staff, the assistant the optometrists and the ladies who help with glasses are all outstanding! I really do love my experiences that I’ve had there. Added bonus is they have donuts and coffee in the waiting room, plus bottled water.

It’s a great place to go for your eye care. Dr. Rowan is one of the best! He has a beautiful office and a huge selection of frames. Also I have to include the whole office staff,they are all very nice and professional. I always leave with a smile!

Beautiful new location, but the same top-notch service and professionalism I’ve come to expect from Dr. Rowan. The staff are friendly and efficient. Everything runs on time, and the prices on frames and glasses are reasonable (more reasonable than in his former location, I think). I wouldn’t go anywhere else . 10/10 recommend

Doctor Rowan is the best. Gets me in anytime I need to. Also happy and you can tell he loves his job. He’s staff are also amazing. They know me by name and they all remember past conversations.

I was going to leave a bad review. I got fitted for contacts at Mayberry Vision and had a reaction I had never had before in my life. My eye had red veins running through it and a fluid blister that the doctor later told me must have been something I already had that got inflamed by the lenses. I have worn contacts for years and never had a single issue, so this was new and it worried me because it is my eyesight we are talking about. I called the office from home to let them know I needed to return the contacts. They told me to come in and pick up a different trial set to try out, and that they would replace the bad ones once I figured out what worked. That part was fine. When I got to the office, I told them I also needed to talk to somebody about the blister and the redness because it was concerning me. That is where it went sideways. The lady at the front desk told me I would have to pay another fee to be seen by the doctor because it was the doctor's time. As if my time was not worth anything. I tried to explain that I was not asking for a full new exam, I was asking the doctor who prescribed me these lenses to look at the reaction her own prescription caused. She would not back down. She was going to charge me that fee no matter what I said, and she made that very clear. So I got on the phone with the state licensing board. I had their number pulled up and was already talking to them when the doctor herself called me back. She was great. She reassured me that my eyesight was not in danger, explained that my eyes just did not respond well to that first lens, and offered me another trial pair to find something that worked. That is all I ever wanted from the beginning. This is not about the money. I would pay $200,000 if it meant saving my eyesight. It is about the fact that I should not have had to call a licensing board to get my own optometrist on the phone about a reaction to the lenses her office prescribed me. The doctor did right by me. The front desk is a different story, and that kind of personality is not what a doctor's office needs when their patients are networked in this city and talk to people. Reputation moves fast in Reno, both directions. Im glad the doctor called me I was just about to find a different solution. She's very sweet and I think more people should be like her as for the lady at the front desk not so much.

Awesome experience got me in fast got me right at my appointment time. I’ve never had. My vision dialed in like these guys dialed my vision in. They got all the high-tech equipment really awesome price was very fair. You’re gonna pay a little more but it’s gonna be worth Every dime I won’t go anywhere else

Although I haven’t received my glasses yet the experience was really good. The Dr was professional and personable. I didn’t feel like I was rushed through their system or pressured in any way.
