Whitney McConkey opened the practice in 2023. She studied cellular biology and molecular genetics at the University of Maryland, College Park, then earned her optometry degree at Salus University, where she received the Conforma Contact Lens Award of Excellence.

I can't say enough good things about Dr McConkey. I've seen many doctors about my eye discomfort and was always directed to the rewetting eyedrop section and dismissed. After hearing about how Dr McConkey actually fixed a problem for my sister after many eye doctors not doing the job, I decided to switch to her hoping for good basic eye care. What I got instead was the most thorough medical care for any part of my body that I've ever received from any medical professional. My diagnosis wasn't a fun one to get, but Dr McConkey assured me she wouldn't give up until my eyes were comfortable, healthy and seeing properly. When one thing didn't work, she didn't get irritated and brush me off for the next patient. Her confidence in finding the right treatment combination that would work for my very fussy eyes really gave me hope and peace about the situation, which was very uncharacteristic for me, as any kind of medical problem usually has me riddled with anxiety and worry. Not with Dr McConkey! I trust her more than I have ever trusted any doctor and I'm so glad I found her. I would drive hours to see her if i had to; she really is worth it.

Dr. McConkey is AMAZING!!! I would definitely recommend her to everyone. Her customer service, her professionalism, her knowledge, her honesty, and her patience is wonderful. She’s very caring of the patient she doesn’t rush to try and get to see as many patients as she can. She takes her time to make sure she answers all questions and explains in full detail to your understanding of the issue and what’s going on. I found my forever eye doctor I will be following her wherever she goes. Best eye doctor I’ve come across!
