Excellent physicians and staff. Knowledgeable and friendly. We love seeing Dr. Lisa Thompson

I take both of my children with Dr Thompson since they each of them were 5 and heading into kindergarten. Nothing but wonderful experiences with Dr Thompson she is gentle, caring and kind to my little ones which I appreciate. Have not had any issues with appointments or the office. Definitely recommend!

Great experience, from the front desk back...... Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Little to no wait time, which of course can vary greatly due to many circumstances, but I barely sat down and was called back. Nurse/tech was super nice and thorough. Dr Lisa Thompson was just amazing, I very quickly knew I was in the hands of an 'expert" in her field. So personable, great sense of humor, and a joy to chat with about my condition. She was patient, took all the time in the world to listen AND explain. I HIGHLY recommend this practice and this doctor.

Dr. Green is an excellent physician and surgeon. I’m confident that my care is excellent, and the staff is knowledgeable.

Appt. started on time. The doctor's assistant was friendly and professional. She did her job well. Dr. Greenberg arrived shortly after her assistant finished her duties. Dr. Greenberg was pleasant and professional. She answered my questions, and I was on my way. Prompt, courteous, efficient and professional makes for a great appt. In my opinion!

Dr. Thompson is an excellent and knowledgeable physician who performed my daughter’s eye surgery. She is also very kind and child-friendly and my daughter (who has special needs) enjoys going to the appointments. The staff members were also welcoming.

Dr. Thompson was very informative and friendly. She listened to my concerns and assisted me with my eye care needs.

Dr Thompson had a great demeanor, she diagnosed my daughter extremely efficiently, and provided the 2 ends of the spectrum for treatment. She was on time and the office staff were very welcoming. Only issue is that there is no direct communication to the lake forest front desk. Calls are answered by a call center none of whom has been to lake forest in 3+ years so they could not help us locate the office when google landed us smack in the middle of lake forest hospital!

Dr. Thompson has seen our son for several years now. Everyone we interact with in this practice is friendly and compassionate and treat our son with respect and patience. He is now an adult with Autism and developmental delays, and she continues to see him even though he’s “aged out” because he’s comfortable and they know how to interact with him. So grateful for Dr Thompson and all the good folks here!

Highly recommend. I called around 11am to see if they could see my 20 mo old same day bc I was worried she had a shard of glass in her eye. They scheduled us for 2pm and we were out my 230pm. The staff was friendly/helpful and the doc was wonderful! Thank you!

The most incompetent staff I've ever encountered. The last appointment, Oct, 30th, 2024, Dr. Thompson was an hour late to see my son, who I took out of school early for the appointment and I left work early to get him there. The least they could have done is called to inform us they were running late. Today, 5 months later, he had an appointment scheduled, we show up, and we're told the appointment is a year from today. Why in the world would someone make an appointment a year and a half from the last appointment when the doct asked to see him in 5 months??? We are seeking out an establishment that isn't completely and utterly incompetent. Read the other poor reviews. They are all true!

Dr Thompson listened carefully to my needs and lifted my spirit with hope as she explained the cause of my problem and prescribed a solution that gave me immediate relief. Outstanding.

The front desk staff is very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. Dr. Thompson is fabulous with children. She has a calm demeanor and treats conservatively. I feel like my children are getting the best care when I take them to MES.

The office staff were very efficient and pleasant from scheduling my appointment to checking out. Dr. Greenberg was on time, extremely knowledgeable, and helpful in explaining my particular case of macular degeneration. I left the appointment well-informed and knowing how to proceed forward. It was an excellent experience from beginning to completion.

Both myself and my 3 year old have seen Dr. Lisa. She is amazing! The office staff was also exceptional both times I visited the Lake Forest Office. Dr. Lisa is knowledgeable and very straight forward. She is thorough and really listened to my concerns for both my son and myself. This was my son’s first time seeing the eye doctor and she really made him feel comfortable. Her interaction with him was warm and very welcoming. You could tell she enjoys her job and really is there to help. I look forward to our future visits with her!

Dr. Lisa Thompson was absolutely incredible with my 15-month-old daughter. Although it was our first time seeing her, she was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. We left the office feeling confident and reassured. It is very disappointing that, despite having such a great doctor, ongoing issues with the practice will prevent us from continuing care here. When we arrived to our scheduled appointment with our 14-month-old daughter, we were informed upon check-in that there would be a 3 hour wait due to the office running behind. This was completely unacceptable. We were not notified in advance and were expected to wait that long in an office with a toddler. As a result, we had to reschedule and wait another two months for a new appointment. While the second visit did not involve a 3 hour delay, we still spent a significant amount of time waiting. After that appointment, we were sent to the optical department to order my daughter’s first pair of glasses. We were told the turnaround time would be about two weeks. Over a 4 week timeframe, I’ve had to repeatedly call to follow up, and each time I was told something different, first that the frames were on backorder, then that they had arrived and were in the lab, and most recently that they are backordered again. It’s extremely frustrating not knowing whether the glasses were being made or still unavailable. Had I known this would be such an issue, I would have ordered elsewhere and my daughter would likely already be wearing her glasses. Lastly, our follow-up appointment scheduled for April was changed by the office without my consent. I received a voicemail stating that the appointment time had been moved. This is not appropriate. At minimum, the office should call to discuss scheduling options and confirm what works for the family before making changes. Standard protocol is to reschedule with the patient, not inform them after the fact. Overall, I am highly disappointed with the administrative and operational issues at this practice. While Dr. Thompson herself was wonderful, the ongoing scheduling and communication problems make it impossible for us to continue care here.

I had a eye cataract surgery there and it was safe and succsusful surgery. Its been more than a month now and I can see clearly. Dr Greenberg and the nurses was very attentive and knowledgeable to their job. Very professional and friendly. Thank you!

I will always recommend Dr. Thompson. We have been seeing her for years and she has always been insightful and patient with my child. My only complaint is with wait times. During my child's most recent appointment we spent over an hour sitting in the waiting room past our scheduled appointment time to even be pulled back. I would much rather have the appointment scheduled an hour later than have to make my child sit and wait.

I have been seeing Dr. Greenberg for over 10 years. She is great! Very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
