I had cataract surgery with Dr Chua and it came out perfect. I'm seeing 20/20 now with both eyes at distance and near with the multi focal lenses. Dr Chua truly cares and is the best surgeon I have ever met. I won't trust anyone else with my eyes!!

There are moments in life when a doctor’s judgment can truly mean the difference between life and death, and for our family, Dr. Michael Chua was that doctor. On April 24, my mother suddenly lost her vision. Given her history of macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma, it would have been easy to assume that one of those conditions was responsible. However, after examining her, Dr. Michael Chua immediately recognized that something was not right. He told us that her vision loss did not appear to be related to any of her existing eye conditions and urgently recommended that she undergo a brain MRI. Because of Dr. Chua’s insight and sense of urgency, my mother went to the ER the very next day. The MRI revealed two brain tumors, and she was able to begin treatment immediately. His recommendation quite literally saved her life. Sadly, the tumors had already caused irreversible damage to her optic nerves, and my mother’s vision loss is permanent. Life is not always perfect, and we cannot change what has happened. But we are profoundly grateful that Dr. Chua looked beyond the obvious, trusted his clinical judgment, and gave my mother the chance to continue living and spending precious time with our family. No words can fully express our gratitude. Dr. Michael Chua is not only an exceptional physician, but also a doctor whose wisdom, compassion, and vigilance changed the course of our lives forever.
