Great staff ! Very helpful in finding my new glasses. Dr. Goncalves is great! Been going here for over 20 years. Went elsewhere for a couple years and my glasses were not right and Dr . G made the corrections for my new glasses! So glad I’m back !

Everyone is always so friendly. I’ve been going here for over 20 years and my kids have been going their whole lives. Marvin feels like family now. I would never go anywhere else.

The entire staff was friendly, professional and overall seemed to enjoy their job. I learned so much from Dr. Nakamoto (he told me to call him Marvin) about optical strain and muscle memory when I've been wearing glasses for 29 years. I love the option to communicate with the staff via text. Ample free parking. Easy to schedule appointments through the VSP website or directly on Midtown Optometric Groups website as it lists open time slots. Karin helped me find the perfect frames at the end of my exam. Very pleased with Midtown Optometric Group.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Marvin Nakamoto is awesome! He takes time to explain things and gives you an analogy so you can truly understand what is going on with your eyes. He also fixed an eye issue on the spot that my husband had had for a few years. I have literally posted maybe a single bad review of a business in my life. I have never been to this office, so they could be great. But I’ll never know because they use AI instead of a real receptionist. The issue is when I called to make an appointment, not only did it take longer than if it were a real person, I also got a voicemail from the office hours later stating that I actually don’t have an appointment because I’m a new patient and there’s a different process. So now instead of a 10 minute phone call to schedule a new patient appointment, it’s going to take three different phone calls? Honestly, the use of AI and how ridiculous of a time waster this was has made me never want to come to this office. I hope you see this and think twice about using AI instead of a real person. I’m a millennial and I just don’t understand why AI was necessary.

I have been going to Dr. Gonzalves at Midtown Optometric Group for many years. The facility is clean, the customer service is unmatched, and the personal care, concern and professionalism Dr. Gonzalves provides keeps me going back. Highly recommend.
