The only reason I went up to two stars is because I liked working with Dr. Craig. Had to switch optometrists unfortunately during Covid. The staff is cold and give the impression of being ill-prepared. Received my glasses in September. When I got them, there was a rather long screw in the left temple hinge. The young lady couldn't find the right size to swap out. I let it slide; it wasn't that big of an issue. Six months later had to call in for them to replace my "right" lens due to a fracture that formed. I wear poly-carbs, always have. I've had my glasses in the past, knocked off my face and skid across pavement; never broke. The glasses in question have never fallen and they develop a fracture while cleaning them. So I have to use my warranty, not thrilled. Call in and confirm three times with the woman on the phone that I need to replace the "right" lens. She told me it would be about two weeks, made sense to me. I get called in for the swap and when I arrive, I ask if they can swap out the screw. First they come back and tell me that "the lab sent the wrong lens". Apparently checking orders they receive isn't policy. Then the young woman comes back with my glasses and said she couldn't find any screws so she filed it down (see photo). So, looks like I'll be looking for another optometrist.

Midwest Eye has a great staff, the doctor is friendly and personable and this office does a lot of good for the community, as well! 10/10 recommend!

I’ve given this place 3 stars and not 5 because they lack communication. I ordered two pairs of glasses, one pair Sun glasses and the other pair regular high definition lenses. They failed to inform me that there were special care instructions for these lenses so I had to use my only warranty to replace them. They also told me that my insurance would pay a certain amount of my frames but then 2 weeks later they billed me an extra $80 because they were wrong. Then I tried to pay $100 towards my sunglasses and they wouldn’t let me leave with them even though I’ve been a customer for 5 plus years! They are very clean and professional and the doctors are great but the front desk staff and the ones that prepare your glasses for you, lack communication and could use better customer service.
