Called to schedule, on hold for 28 minutes and still no answer. My child was supposed to get a call for vision therapy and never heard from anyone. This happen after every appointment. We are told she needs vision therapy twice but no one call to schedule or gave us a number to call. Very dysfunctional clinic. Giving 2 stars because the doctor we saw at the first time was really good. Quality just went down after that.

If I could give a 0-star rating, I absolutely would. My experience with the Midwestern University Eye Institute has been nothing short of a nightmare. I came here to get fitted for scleral lenses, and despite my initial excitement, I've been sorely disappointed at every turn. The only reason I chose this place was because they accept insurance for these special contact lenses. Little did I know that this would turn into a colossal waste of time and money. From the very first appointment, it felt like they were doing the bare minimum. They showed little interest in addressing my concerns or providing me with the quality care I expected. I meticulously documented every step of the fittings and made them aware of the issues I was experiencing, but it seemed like they couldn't care less. Communication was abysmal, and when it came time for what should have been the final fitting, they failed to even inform me that it was the last one. The end result? A pair of poorly fitting contacts that caused constant discomfort and a buildup of mucus every 2-3 hours. Their excuse? They kept insisting that it was normal. Well, I can tell you from personal experience that it's far from normal. I deeply regret not investing in a more professional and reputable option. The Midwestern University Eye Institute is anything but professional. I strongly urge anyone considering this place for their eye care needs to look elsewhere. This has been a costly and frustrating experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. STAY AWAY!

Been coming to Midwestern Eye institute for 10 years. and I am extremely happy with the Doctors. Dr. Dougherty (Osmotherly) whom i started with many years back Dr. Varney Dr. Miller DR. Yu These folks are the best of the best, the elite, who go well beyond the extra miles for their patients and for their care. they are extremely through and explain everything in detail and in plain terms that you can understand, and their is no stupid question in their eyes, no pun intended. I WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR MY EYE CARE unless I have to. Scheduling appointments is great no hassles and problems, I can see whom I want to see. They even helped me with my insurance plan when I did not have any.
