Let's start here: Dr. Mark Hansen did my surgery and I could not have been happier with the process. The entire surgical team was terrific. On the other hand, the clinic itself and its operation is a complete disaster from a patient perspective. Here are two examples: I went in for my exam the day following surgery. There had been a glitch during the process, however the doctor doing my exam couldn't refer to any of those notes because they had not been "scanned in." If you do eye surgery AND you schedule follow-up appointments the next day, you need to figure out a way to have those surgical records available. Instead, I was trying to explain to the doctor what had happened and she was trying to figure it out from the color on the cap of drops I was given. That's not the way this is supposed to be done. Next, I was told that I needed to be seen before my scheduled appointment two weeks later. She specifically said I needed to be seen two or three days after that first followup appointment. I attempted to book an appointment and could not. Nothing available. I was told they would call me. I offered to go to any of their offices. I heard nothing and have not been seen for this recommended appointment. I called again for an appointment and now have one a week from now -- which is more than a week after she wanted me to have another exam. I have no idea if there's a problem or not. So, bottom line for the practice: if your providers recommend that a patient needs a followup appointment, figure out how to accommodate that. We're not talking about my nails here. We're talking about my eyes. While I really appreciate Dr. Hansen's skills, I wish I had gone somewhere else for care. I waited two months for my initial appointment and another two months for surgery. This clinic needs to get its act together. There are other clinics in the metro who provide great care.

I’ve always appreciated the staff who register me for appt. The assistant technician who checked my eye pressure- was patient, attentive to my questions, not rushed to move on to the next patient. Appointment with Dr hill was great. Dr Hill took the time to access the eyes and answered questions, also engaged and open to question I may have. The care providers at Mminnnesota Eye Consultates are passionate in caring for their patients.

Dr. Fahmy was thorough, patient, professional, willing and able to answer questions. I could tell he was confident, but he also came across as kind and personable. The experience made me feel great that I decided to seek a second opinion. I was very impressed and just felt this was the person and place to rely on for my eye exam and surgery. Great place and all great people that I interfaced with. Thanks! Mark Mc
