I would give zero stars if I could. My experience with Miramar Eye Specialist has been unbelievably disappointing and stressful. First, the appointment scheduling is a mess. There was constant confusion about times and dates, with no one on the same page. I even drove all the way there for an appointment only to have my concerns barely addressed. The doctor didn’t seem to take anything seriously, and I left with no real answers at all. What’s even worse is the complete lack of communication. I have asked multiple times specifically to speak with Dr. China about my case. Each time, the call center assured me I would get a call back—but that call never came. It’s infuriating to keep chasing them with no response. They assured me a manager would call me back and some Reason the manager from CAM/ventura won’t call Imagine putting your trust in this place and waiting months for an appointment, only to finally get there and be told they don’t even know how to proceed with my insurance because I was already seen at their Simi location? No one can give me a straight answer. At this point, I don’t even know what’s going on anymore. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Go somewhere that actually knows how to communicate and cares about helping their patients

I made an appointment April 9 for an eye exam prompted by an email from Lynn eye group. Upon checking in at the receptionist's desk I was given some charts to fill out. As I was preparing the charts the Receptionist advised me that I was not eligible to have an exam until next March 2026 as records show me having a recent exam. I expained that have not had a recent exam and I was advised by text from Lynn Eye Group (Dr. Hymus) that I was due. The receptionist explained that Hymus does not take United Health Care (new insurance through my wifes work). I said, I know Hymus does not take UHC that's why I made the appointment with Dr Nguyen. The receptionist said sorry but it shows you recently had an exam and next March is the earliest unless I pay out of pocket up front. My wife was just here and had an exam with Dr. Nguyen that's why I made my appointment with her. Again it was sorry I can't do anything. I left and called my wife at work and she said NO I have insurance for eye care. So I went back in and tried to explain again ... at that time a lady at a desk to the right of the receptionist noticed my fustration and asked the receptionist to let me in to see her. This lady's name is Faviola who listened to my sad tale and said something here is not right and proceeded to dig into the matter. Faviola worked on line through seemigly many insurance records, and summized after council with her Supervisor that I was eligible for an exam as the Insurance carrier had my name associated with my wifes phone number prompted ineligibility for exam until next March. Result: 1) I kept my appointment 2) frustration cured 3) because of Faviola's due diligence my wife contacted UHC to correct my profile which will save much angst in future. Bottom line: 5 STARS POSITIVE REVIEW Miramarat Eye Specialists due to FAVIOLA the Angel who made my day by taking the time and effort to unravel the mess caused by inaccurate input into my personal profile (UHC used my wifes number for us both). Also a 5 star shout for Dr. Nguyen who is amazing!

I had a frustrating experience trying to schedule an appointment here. The scheduling staff I spoke with seemed poorly informed about the practice’s policies, giving me conflicting information about both age requirements and insurance. When I asked for clarification, I was spoken to in a condescending and dismissive way. When I pointed out that the interaction felt unnecessarily rude, the scheduler hung up on me. It’s disappointing that such an unpleasant experience happened before I could even schedule an appointment especially considering I was referred by my pediatrician who I trust.

Ridiculous unprofessional people, you arrive 30 minutes before your appointment and still you sit and wait to be seen at least 2 and a half hours if you are lucky. The same goes to Simi valley office too .

I went to Miramar eye specialist after the 2 previous recommendations by my ophthalmologist in Ventura A wouldn’t even get a call back and B even though this second one was on my in network when I got there was mentioned they don’t take my insurance. So I have to start by saying the staff at Miramar eye specialist were very helpful from the beginning and lead me through the whole process to get my appointment and got my surgery done by Dr Hedaya. All my follow appointments have been a blessing by the helpful and kind staff

This review is long overdue. I have seen Dr. Hedaya several times over the years and have always been deeply impressed by his care. Because of a past vitreous detachment, I require regular monitoring. Dr. Hedaya always takes the time to thoroughly answer my questions and address my concerns. I am incredibly grateful to have him as my doctor.

I waited over two hours to see Dr Partamian. After about fifteen minutes I was finally taken back for the peripheral test and had the dilation drops administered. When I finally got to see the doctor he took about ten minutes to do my exam. …
