I had bilateral cataract surgery elsewhere in March/April 2023. I had blurred vision in one eye. I went to Dr. Moyes for a second opinion. He did the YAG laser procedure yesterday on both eyes. Today my vision if so much better. I can see Dr. Moyes!! Thank you for my eyesight!! I can read again and feel comfortable enough to drive. It’s a miracle. Merry Christmas!!

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! I had been putting off lasik for years because I was nervous. Every interaction I had with Moyes staff was amazing. I’m so happy I did it, had a positive experience and has been life changing. Dr. Verachtert and Dr. Moyes we’re fabulous.

I was very happy with my experience at Moyes Eye Center for my Lasik surgery. After doing extensive research with other similar centers, I decided to have the procedure done at Moyes. I was impressed that the initial evaluation included a consultation with the surgeon, Dr. Kam, who would be doing the procedure. He was so kind and generous with his time, ensuring that all my questions and concerns were answered. The cost was not the lowest out there, but it was competitive. I was not comfortable with the lowest cost competitor. I have worn glasses since the 4th grade and am now in my mid 40's. I decided to look into the possibility after starting to need bifocals and not wanting them. Many of the elders around me were going in for cataract surgery and coming out not needing glasses. This inspired me and gave me the courage to look into it. After being told I would be a good candidate, I prayed about it for several months then decided to go forward. I was extremely nervous. By the grace of God, I had the courage. Oh, how we fear the unknown. The actual surgery lasted no more than 15 minutes and didn't hurt at all! When it was finished, I could see without my glasses...amazing! It truly is a miracle and even today, I give thanks every day for the gift of sight without glasses! The greatest joy is being able to open my eyes each morning and be able to see! Not to mention, the added joy of walking in the rain. It was one of the hardest and best decisions I've made in my life. Fear not, it is so worth it! Modern technology is a marvel! The staff were all wonderful and did a great job making sure I understood the procedure and the aftercare. The next 24 hours required patience with vision fluctuation and mild eye irritation but sleep and rest was a good antidote. My vision definitely fluctuated the next week or three after the surgery. It helped tremendously that they told me this would happen, and I trusted the healing process. I did need readers a bit during the time of healing but do not need them now except for extremely tiny print. Now, three months later I can really feel the difference. I do still need to put drops in for dryness but can even tell that is slowly getting better. Words cannot express how thankful I am for such a wonderful experience at Moyes and having the Lasik done. Truly Joy Through Sight!
