Yesterday was my first time going here and from the time I walked in until I time I left was an absolutely great experience! The 2 girls who did my intake and eye exams were friendly and thorough. My eye doctor Reshima Patel , was so friendly and one of the best eye doctors I ever had ! And I’ve been wearing glasses for over 37 years ! She even showed me what my eyes looked like after all the tests were done and explained everything . I have never had that done before. Ashley was wonderful and I felt she really gave me a good deal with my contacts and this place is not even that expensive! I was very impressed with Myeyedr in the Rocky hill office and I plan to bring my son there soon .

The doctor herself was very kind, however, the front receptionists are incompetent. I was told that I needed to reschedule so I could get my eye exam and contact fitting done in one day, so I did. Then when I showed up, they told me that no one was in to do the contacts, so I needed to come in another day. I asked if that appointment was considered a separate appointment (because my insurance only covers one eye exam per year), and the lady told me that it didn't and that it was a class, so it was free. A week later got a call that I would have to pay out of pocket for that appointment, therefore having to cancel my appointment. No one is on the same page about anything, and on top of it all, they were incredibly rude.

8/28: I’m a new client, 1st appointment. I ordered contacts and Ray-Ban (shades) I requested progressive be added to the shades. 9/1: received text ‘eyewear’ was ready, received the contacts only, shades were not ready. 9/8: received text eyewear was ready, 9/9: tried on shades/glasses (with contacts in) couldn’t see a thing, I told receptionist I’m not sure what was wrong but I can’t see with them, I was a bit confused (wasn’t sure what was done) i told her I’ll take them home and try them there. 9/11: called first thing in the morning to let them know I couldn’t see with the shades/glasses and if it was ok to bring them in the following Saturday. I was told yes, it’s fine. 9/16: arrived at MyEyeDr at 9:10 AM, I went to open door and to my surprise store was closed! A nice young lady named “V” came out and stated the manager was running about 1/2 late and she couldn’t open store to public without manager. I gave her my shades/glasses back , explained what I needed and that if anyone had questions to please call me. No one ever reached out to me with questions. 10/6: received text eyewear ready. Went back to pick up glasses and again I couldn’t see, explained I wanted the shades but with progressive. 11/1: received text eyewear ready. 11/2: went to store at 3:15 pm, on a Thursday and the store was closed! A hand written paper on the door stated they were closed for lunch! The store’s website list Thursday’s hours as 10:00am to 7:00pm and no closing hours are listed!! 11/4: picked up shades/glasses, everything seemed okay inside store, until I went outside couldn’t see. I could see close up but not far away. I went back inside and explained the situation (due to multiple errors on their end) I asked for a refund, it was denied and told they do not do refunds. I asked to speak w/manager but no manager was in the store at the time, they told me a manager would call me. 11/6: had a missed call from MyEyeDr and someone left a message (no name provided) to call back. 11/6: I returned call immediately, told receptionist who I was and was put on hold for over 10 minutes, so I hung up and figured someone would call me back, however, no one ever called me back! 11/7: went to the store, asked to speak to the manager, spoke with Ashley. I asked Ashley for her last name however she declined and stated it was store policy not to provide their last name. I said to her ‘“Ashley I’m assuming you were the one that left me a message on my phone yesterday to call you back, you didn’t leave your name, and when I returned your call I gave the receptionist my name, I was placed on hold for over 10 minutes, so I hung up assuming you would call me back , I haven’t heard back from anyone so I took the day off from work to resolve this in person.” Ashley’s response: just an empty stare and No response whatsoever! I asked her why was it I couldn’t get a refund after going to this store 5 times, she simply stated it was store policy not to refund on “special orders.” I explained my situation and in my case this was unreasonable, I also told her this isn’t my fault if the employees can’t get the prescription correct the 1st, 2nd and 3rd time! At the end of our conversation I only got a blank stare, again, from Ashley… no apology for my inconvenience , no have a nice day, not even a simple thank you! I simply shook my head and walked away! 11/22 received text eyewear was ready for pickup. 11/28: picked up my shades/glasses and finally they got it right after waiting three whole months!! FYI: **Receptionist wasn’t welcoming nor friendly on each and every single time I walked into to this store! Horrible customer service experience ever except for “V” and the doctor.
