I went to My Eye Doctor because they are So Caring and they take care of their patients. I Loved this place and I will highly recommend them. I previously went to Eye Associates and they don't let you get your glasses there because they don't accept People's Health.

Was surprised by the incompetent handling of my eyeglass frame purchase. The sales person? was helping another customer who had called in while I was sitting in front of her waiting for her to write up my frame order. I expected her to say that she was waiting on another customer and that she would call the phone-in customer back. Unprofessional! The sales person then told me that she couldn't sell me only the frames under my VSP insurance policy. She said that I had to get an eye exam and prescription lenses with the frames. I'd already had my eye exam and that doctor's office was going to fulfill my lens/glasses order. I asked her for the VSP customer service telephone number and just as I had a VSP rep on the line, she discovered that she could sell me only the frames. Amazing!! Hopefully the other MyEyeDr locations in Slidell and the New Orleans area have hired professional, competent people to handle their business.

Let me start by saying the entire staff at this location was phenomenal. Everything was seamless from start to finish. Around 3:45 pm I received a call from the receptionist informing me that I was late (I wrote down 4:30 and not 3:40), after I rushed to the location, all of my paperwork was ready to be explained so I could sign. I was then shown to a room where the tech, who was both extremely pleasant and knowledgeable, did some preliminary testing. After, I was guided to the exam room; honestly expected a long wait due to my tardiness, but that wasn’t the case. The doctor came in not more than 30 seconds after I sat in the exam chair. She remembered me from 2 years ago, was very nice and personable. She asked about my life and what was new, in the midst of the conversation I forgot I was getting an exam. It felt like catching up with an old friend. Then I was guided out to order contacts and glasses. Pam walked me through getting the best price and a sufficient amount of contacts. As we were ordering the glasses you could tell the staff all got along. The atmosphere was very welcoming. The office was extremely. Clean and all of the people in that office were a joy to interact with. Even those who didn’t provide direct care on this visit made me feel welcome, I really enjoyed this visit. Thanks a lot guys!
