The eye exam itself went great, and I have zero complaints about my optometrist. I have 2 issues.. I found this place on my insurances website of covered providers. I arrived at the office and gave my insurance info, and then I continued to my exam. As I was checking out I was told afterwards that my insurance did not cover and I owed them money. This should be mentioned prior to the exam itself. Otherwise I would have never moved forward. My biggest issue though is that myself and my daughter were put in a dangerous situation. I've never had an exam before and the assistant went through the process with me and explained that they were going to dilate my eyes. I asked if I would be able to drive afterwards and she assured me that it was completely safe and I would still be able to drive safely. It wasn't until after I had the eye drops that I realized this statement was completely false. I could hardly see to walk, much less drive with my 5 month old daughter in the backseat.
