The experience I had was amazing. The staff are friendly and the doctor has a sense of humor. Makes you appointment go smooth and fast.

Doctor is great. Staff is pretty rude and dismissive. I have DC Medicaid - the exam is covered, but then they hold the prescription hostage. I do get that as a business, they want you to buy from them, but they do not cover the frame costs, so if I'm on Medicaid I probably can't afford $200 glasses. Sorry for not being rich? I wish they would tell you up front, or just request something reasonable like $20 to get your prescription if you choose not to buy from them. Sad pairing because the doctor is great, but the place is disorganized, overpriced, and just plain rude if you choose not to buy from them. Sorry, Bruce - wish you would pair up elsewhere, you've got a vibe that just doesn't match those guys at all.

Dr.Lazrow and staff were absolutely fantastic! I was able to walk in and was seen right away. The doctor has a😊great sense of humor! Needless to say, I'll be recommending this place! …

If I could give them 1/4 of a Star I would, this is the most unprofessional disrespectful place I’ve ever had to come to get glasses. I paid over $400 only for my frame to be falling apart. I stopped by to see if they could be fixed only to be told I no longer have a warranty. I bought them on Feb and it was Oct….. really. I stopped by to get a copy of my prescription , asked if they could add my PDD, which they refused. I will never ever ever recommend them to anyone nor will I ever go back!

I was looking to get mine and my daughter's eyes examined. I called one place and was instantly disappointed with the customer service over the phone, but was able to schedule an appointment for myself. I called a different place for my daughter's appointment, which was New Vision. I got the total opposite experience already just over the phone. The gentleman that answered was kind and courteous and scheduling took less than 3 minutes. Skip to my daughter's appointment, we arrived and were seen by the doctor almost right away. The waiting room was well lit, clean, with plenty of seating. This was my daughter's first time getting glasses, and I could tell she was a little intimidated by it all. The doctor had such great energy, cracked jokes, and really put us both at ease. I mentioned to the doctor I was needing an exam and glasses as well. I wasn't planning to be examined, but he looked up my insurance, and upon approval examined me on the spot! We picked out our frames, and after 2 years of squinting and struggling, I FINALLY have my vision back. I can't believe how easy it all was! 100% would recommend, come here for excellent service and amazing, affordable selection of eyewear.

I really love this place! My friend recommended it to me & the doctor is very nice & friendly, the two people at the register are nice as well, considerate and patient with others. The only thing is that the glasses are limited but so far seems like a good selection to choose from.

My son who have special needs had an appointment in February The eye exam went normal, and the doctor was very nice. I didn’t run into trouble until I start talking to the lady at the desk. we picked out his glasses I gave her his insurance information. She told me his glasses would be ready in three weeks. once the three week marked it, I called she told me that his glasses wasn’t ready and to call back the following week. I called back the following week and she told me that she wasn’t sure and the person who deal with the glasses and insurance wasn’t there and he was going to be out until the beginning of March. March 13 rollaround and my son still don’t have any glasses mind you his appointment was February 9. I called back and the gentleman answered the phone. He was very nice and told me that the glasses wasn’t back yet and he was going to have the lady call to see what was the holdup And to call back next Wednesday . I called back next Wednesday and the lady answered the phone again. This time she had an attitude talking about something is wrong with the insurance and that when she put the request in, she said they told her that their machine was down. I talked to someone at his insurance. They told me that wasn’t true. at this point I gave up and had his insurance talk to them his caseworker called me very frustrated and told me they never put their insurance claim in and he wasn’t sure why. So now I have to go somewhere else and do the process all over again.

Me and my son have gone there for the past couple of years. I’ve been trying to be patient because the eye doctor is great but all the staff is so unprofessional, Hispanic they’re rude , racist, and they’re only nice to their own kind. I have sit and I have witnessed it the man receptionist is mean, doesn’t give you a chance to talk always over talking you and the lady act like she doesn’t know anything or speak Any type of English is unprofessional when your dealing in customer service, now the new young guy is just like the older gentleman RUDE but I’m pretty sure they don’t have no problem with billing anybody’s insurance or Medicaid.

New vision was the best eye doctor I’ve been to in years. Dr. Lazerow was very professional and has a great sense of humor. The place was clean and very fast. I received my eye exam and my glasses on the same day. I didn’t have to wait to get my exam & only waited about 20 min for my glasses. They have great options to choose from. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for a D.C location. Very kind and professional & did I mention fast.

I felt that the Spanish reception lady there was racist or not a fan of black people. I was forced to pay upfront for my glasses and she wasn’t as friendly to me unlike the other Spanish customers or lighter skin customers. Also I believe I was only force to pay upfront front because I’m black. This was the first time I was asked to-pay up front. The Doctor was great friendly and funny.

This place is THE WORST. It took me YEARS to find someone who accepted my insurance bc evidently all optometrist in the area were refusing to use them due to payment. But after calling the insurance they finally had a list and I chose this place based on location. I went in looking to preview the staff and space for my eight year old sons back to school appt. The doctor was great, good guy who’s doing his job. The problem arose when, after determining I did need glasses and my eyes were “stable” they did not have ANY options of glasses that my insurance would cover and told me that I would come out of pocket at a MINIMUM OF $150 depending on glasses chosen, no range, plus $90 for transitions. What gets me is there brashness, unprofessionalism, answering the phone while I’m mid question, or apathy of well we can’t help you with glasses then. AND they only take appts a week out 😒😳 Guys, point being: DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE, FIND SOMEWHERE THAT CAN BE FULL SERVICE BC BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE, I PROBABLY WILL HAVE TO PAY FULL POCKET FOR GLASSES BECAUSE OTHER PLACES WILL TAX BC I DID NOT GET THE EXAM THERE!!!!
