I have never been treated as rudely and disrespectfully as I was by Joseph Ceravolo in my recent appointment. He is a horrendous human being with no regard or respect for other people, particularly his patients. Do not give this miserable person your business. You will regret it. He literally screamed at me during my eye exam. I’m a retired Air Force officer and pilot, with hundreds of hours of combat flight time to my credit, and currently a commercial airline captain, and as such I’ve been treated by health care practitioners of every kind all over the world. I was absolutely shocked at Mr. Ceravolo’s behavior in a provider-patient environment. Even if we hadn’t been in a professional environment, his behavior would have been unacceptable, but it was particularly so in the sense of his providing me with medical services. His behavior suggests that he may be an anabolic steroid abuser who is suffering from “Roid Rage.” There is absolutely no excuse for how he behaved toward me and how he treated me, and in fact the nurse who was present in the exam room when this occurred actually apologized to me on behalf of the practice after it occurred, as I was leaving. No one should ever be subjected to the kind of abusive, unprofessional, hateful, inexcusable behavior Mr. Ceravolo (I refuse to refer to him as “doctor”) displayed toward me, particularly when I had done absolutely nothing to elicit his actions. Stay as far away from this sociopath as possible. Don’t give him the opportunity to abuse you the way he did me. I’ve learned my lesson — hopefully you won’t have to learn the same lesson the hard way. Incidentally, there are a lot more details about this that I would like to be able to share here, but the Google Review platform limits me to too few characters to be able to give you all the details. I do, however, plan to file a complaint against him with the Alabama and Georgia state medical boards. He should not be allowed to practice medicine.

Dr Joseph did surgery on my uncle eyes and he almost went blind. He could not see for months and they had him constantly come back and he was charged so much money for each visit and medication for his eyes. This doctor needs to be reported he’s betting senior citizens out of their money

My experience with North Columbus Eye Center has been amazing. The front and back office staff was welcoming, and efficient Dr. Ceravolo was thorough and answered all my questions. The day of my surgery Cassie put my fear at ease. My surgery went well and Dr. Ceravolo did great. My after care continues and I am happy with my outcome.
