Excellent initial visit with Dr. Watson about corneal issue. Since she was leaving in a few weeks to go on maternity leave, she gave a preliminary assessment, a prescription to reduce swelling, and made an appointment for me with another specialist. Calm, responsive, clear and professional. Just great.

Northern Virginia Ophthalmology Associates is the best! My daughter sees Dr. Morrison. Dr. Morrison is a very patient doctor. She treats my daughter like a person, takes her time to answer all questions. My daughter was very nervous and anxious about her surgery. Dr. Morrison and the anesthesiologist approached this in a way that she became so comfortable. Her bedside manner is awesome. I would highly recommend Dr. Morrison.

Very friendly staff... from the time I checked in, through the examination process and when I left. I couldn't ask for any more. My doctor was very professional, she took the time to explain all the details of my issues and solution. Great medical facility!

I cannot express how highly we think of this practice. My husband and myself have been with this practice for many years and we are very pleased from check in to completion. We see Dr. Forster and he is calm, outgoing, kind and thorough. He explains things clearly and is open to all questions. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Forster and this practice. I highly recommend this practice.

The ophthalmology assistant was pleasant and polite when he did the initial assessment. Dr. Morrison gave me a great deal of time and very useful information when she explained a proposed surgical procedure. I did not feel rushed and her explanation was at the right level. The optician was very helpful when I asked to have my nose pads adjusted. My only struggle is registering on the patient portal and I think that may be attributable to the portal not to NVOA.

This office is wonderful. We saw Dr. Torosian for our son’s care and surgery and we were happy with every aspect of his care. Dr. Torosian took time to walk us through our options and the procedure, and treated us with kindness and respect. While we had absolute confidence in his medical expertise we also appreciated his exceptional bedside manner. Additionally, every single member of the front office team and support staff has been kind and engaging over multiple visits. I’ll add that I was mortified to mix up appointments or arrive late twice and both times the staff worked with me to ensure my son could be seen- showing compassion and going above and beyond despite my mistakes. I can’t recommend this office enough.

Great overall experience. Called to make an appointment for my kid, was seen 2 days later, smooth check in process, doctor quickly and accurately diagnosed the issue and let us know treatment options. Unfortunately can't recall the doctor's name, was blonde woman with pleasant demeanor. Good job.

Quick, professional Team. Dr. Morrison and staff are great as usual hardly describes the practice and Dr. Morrison. I’ve been a patient of hers for over three decades and have always been well cared for by her and her team-they treat me like family! Best Ever!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Despite being booked out several months, they were able to see my infant quickly due to a cancelled appointment slot. Dr. Morrison was warm, friendly, and explained everything very clearly. She provided helpful resources and made sure all our questions were answered. They were timely with the appointment.

The appointment was on time. The technician, Amari, was very proficient and efficient in reviewing my history and doing the preparatory vision check before Dr. Martin saw me. Dr. Martin was not at all rushed in discussing my options …

My mother is a patient. She is extremely pleased with how she has been treated, from the reception staff to every staff member she has been seen by. She absolutely loves her doctor, Dr McAllister. The wonderful care he gives his patients is a reflection of how devoted he his to his profession.

Easy access, free parking garage. Nice big office with kid’s play area. Staff was courteous and patient with my toddler. The doctor took her time to explain results. Highly recommend this office for your littles.

Dr. K is wonderful. He explains the procedure where it is very clear. He answers all your questions. My experience was very good pre and post surgery. The staff is excellent as well. I would recommend this practice specially Dr. K to my family and friends. Dr. K is simply the best!!

This office as well as the Falls Church location was very professional and efficient in services provided. Dr Shah is amazing while being both proficient and compassionate. I highly recommend her medical skills.

Took my father to see Dr. Khan and she was wonderful. She ran a series of tests, came up with some new insights that our previous ophthalmologist did not take notice of. Seems like she really came to play to offer a proper diagnosis and better solutions going forward. We highly recommend Dr. Khan. Very professional, appears to be a lovely person and my father really liked her and she treated him well and with kindness. So my thanks to her for all of her help.

The billing practices of this place are so scummy. Went to an appointment and was told to follow up in 2 months. 2 weeks after the follow up, I get a letter saying I have a $146 bill that they are threatening to send to collections if I don't pay. The letterhead was pixelated and didn't list the specific services the bill was related to. I call to make sure and they tell me it is real and that I had been sent two notices and emails and the collections mail was the 3rd attempt. I 100% did not receive any notices, mail or email, indicating I had any balance left to pay, nor did anyone bring it to my attention during my follow up visit. Threatening to send a $146 bill to collections immediately on a 90 day mark (which isn't even correct because If it was due the day of my treatment then why was I not charged the day of) when nobody has actually made contact with me is absolutely ridiculous. This is on top of the fact that the difference between a routine eye exam that is covered, and a "medical exam" that is not covered is a matter of whether you discuss anything with the ophthalmologist or not. I did not receive any services or treatment other a routine eye exam and a recommendation to buy a product at CVS on my own and yet it was billed to my medical insurance and not vision.

This review is for Dr. Amritha Sundaresan office ONLY. Dr. Khan has been wonderful and extremely helpful in diagnosing my glaucoma symptoms. However, due to her medical leave, I was referred to Dr. Amritha Sundaresan for follow-up — and the experience has been unacceptable. Dr. Sundaresan insisted on redoing the entire set of tests, but the first appointment ran almost an hour late, and at the second appointment I waited over 40 minutes and still had not been seen. A doctor’s time is valuable, but so is the patient’s. Running late once in a while is understandable, but being consistently late is a serious problem. If the practice is scheduling more patients than it can realistically see, then it needs to reduce the volume so patients are not forced to rearrange their entire day around excessive delays.

Impressive group of physicians, all well trained. Just had cataract surgery both eyes with excellent results. Dr. Shah and her staff are highly qualified, friendly and compassionate. My highest recommendation.

Went for a follow up appointment from the Falls Church location. During the visit I was basically told the equipment is different between the two locations so the results wouldn’t be comparable between the two. Would have been nice to know before taking time from my workday to attend the appointment. Still unsure what I even paid for at this visit since I didn’t get the follow up I wanted

The support people here are lovely, patient, and reassuring. We waited no more than 5 minutes before we were called in to begin the process. Good vibes come from the top down. The doctor who came in a bit later reflects this. I have confidence in him, as a caring, knowledgeable, pleasant person. I'm glad to be here.

The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating - even getting us in for a last minute appointment and letting us know about a cancellation so we could get all our appointments taken care of in one day. And Dr. Morrison is great - knowledgeable, experienced, and personable. One of the best medical experiences we've had in the area.

I appreciate the quality of the care I receive at Northern Virginia Ophthalmology Associates. I have found, without exception that everyone is professional and kind. We love Dr Morrison. She is very personable and makes you feel comfortable. She is thorough and explains things so you understand. Her assistant was also very nice and efficient. We make the long drive because we are happy with the service.

Dr. McAllister and the assistant were great. I appreciate that the doctor explains things in an easy to understand manner. The visit was quick and efficient. My wait wasn’t long, however the front desk staff had checked people in that walked in even though I had signed in and had been waiting in the waiting room.

Dr. Torosian delivered an exceptional eye care experience for my son, combining his deep knowledge with a warm, caring demeanor. He listened to our concerns and offered clear explanations. We left reassured and appreciative of his thorough and empathetic approach. There was hardly any wait, and we were happy with the office and the staff.

Excellent service. Staff is very committed to customer service, specially Mr. Gabriel, the doctor’s assistant, he is very gentle and knowledgeable. He is gifted on keeping you calmed. Doctor Khan is very knowledgeable, patient, compassionate and proactive.

I wouldn’t trust my eyes to anyone other than Dr. Martin. He’s the BEST!! He is extremely experienced; easy to talk with; and any questions are answered. Gabriel was also friendly and efficient. I was at ease and comfortable throughout the entire visit.
