The surgery itself was not fun, but quick. Dr. Lusby was extremely kind and thorough. I did not expect to be so loopy from the Xanax, which was given to me shortly before the surgery, so I am grateful that Nelly was there to care for me pre and post surgery. She offered a lot of support and information to me and my daughter about what to expect during the next 24hrs of my recovery, which was invaluable. Had she not been so clear and descriptive, I likely would have been in distress about the discomfort that I experienced following the surgery. Not that it was painful, just inexplicably unpleasant. The only thing that I would add, is that you pre-plan to have someone at home to make sure you eat and take your medication before you fall asleep. Apparently I was being a bit stubborn… Thank you Dr. Lusby, Nelly, and entire NVison Torrance staff!! It’s one day after my surgery, and I am beyond thrilled with my results.

Like most who have had LASIK, I too wish I had only done it sooner! Very professional and personal at the same time. Something like eye surgery can be very anxiety producing and, as such, requires sensitive, compassionate, and deft dealing with a wide range of patient issues. Having only met Dr, Brar and his team for the first time today, I felt listened to, respected, and genuinely cared about. Unusual in many settings these days.
