Unfortunately I felt compelled to leave this review after several rude interactions with the front desk staff or whomever picks up the phone at this office. Sadly these reviews are probably not viewed by the business owners but the customer service at this place is extremely lacking. Calling to make an appointment, ask for follow ups, or anything really is met with incredibly rude, short, and unkind responses. Certainly makes me want to take my business/health elsewhere. It's very unfortunate because the doctors, Morgan in particular, are consummate professionals and their patients are being negatively impacted by the office staff.

Dr. Shatten examined me after being hit in the eye with bear spray. This office was somehow able to get me in for a same day walk in appointment. The front desk staff, employees in the exam room and Dr. Shatten were all amazing. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. They have enough staff to get people in same day somehow? This place is THE alaska eye hospital. Thanks Ophthalmic Associates!

After several tests I learned that my vision is 20/20 and my eyes are doing well. At my age I expected to hear my vision wasn't as sharp, but the doctor said I'm doing well. If you're visiting the Ophthalmic Associates I hope you have positive news too, however I'm confident that you're in the right place no matter the situation. Parking is a little strange here, but there is a parking lot next door and it's free. Make sure the parking sign says, "Ophthalmic Associates" or you're in the wrong parking lot. There are stairs, many stairs, so expect a mild workout to visit the waiting rooms and restrooms. Cell phone coverage was fine downstairs, but the Internet connection will be much slower.
