Very positive experience at OCC. All of the staff was very courteous. My mom is 94 years old and they were very patient and tolerable. She does take a little bit to get around. They explained everything they were doing to make her comfortable. Also Dr. Bhatt showed the same courtesy. I highly recommend the practice.

This review is about Dr. Jonathan Stein and his ophthalmology practice in East Haven, CT. From the moment I arrived for my initial consultation and examination, I was greeted by welcoming and professional staff members. The office environment, interactions with technicians, and conversations with Dr. Stein himself were all warm and cordial. What stood out was the well-coordinated and thorough process they had for managing appointments and the intricacies of pre and post-surgical medications. This level of organization isn't something I've always encountered at other medical practices. Dr. Stein has an agreeable demeanor that makes him a joy to interact with. For the convenience of surgery day(s), they offer an affordable car service to transport patients to and from the surgery center. I personally opted for the Newington location. There, I once again found myself amidst a friendly and professional staff. Despite the inherently bureaucratic nature of medical procedures, characterized by numerous forms and extensive detail work, my operation proceeded smoothly. My surgery was the 34th cataract operation performed by Dr. Stein's team that day. Despite this, I was attended by a fresh, well-coordinated team led by Dr. Stein, whose engaging and comforting presence was reassuring. Post-surgery, I was provided a snack and a beverage before being transported home using the same car service. They also gave me clear post-op instructions and scheduled several follow-up appointments. I give Dr. Jonathan Stein and his office and surgical team my highest recommendation. I should also mention that the procedure was painless, and my vision has improved significantly—I can now see like an eagle.

I went to Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut in both Meriden & East Haven since 2015 it was 2 years of glasses that didn't work. Then oh you need cataract surgery, then get the surgery and still can't see, and oh yea you have scar tissue and we need to hit it with a laser. So I get the laser done and I still can't see, so I get glasses and I couldn't even walk wearing the glasses, so I go back and yet another prescription for glasses with them saying my prescription had changed, and I may need to have a droopy eyelid fixed to be able to see correctly. Funny thing is I've had this droopy eyelid all my life and I had 20/20 vision with it so... The beauty of this whole ordeal is every year when I went back there was yet another new doctor and the one I had been going to had left the practice so there was no accountability and the new doctor was going to take care of everything... I was done not being able to see, and I found another eye doctor and after 1 exam and 1 set of glasses I could see again for the first time in 8 years...
