This has to be the worst opthamology department I have ever dealt with. I called saying I have complications from an eye surgery and was told I cannot be seen until a week later. Seriously!! And then I asked to speak to a nurse and they would not let me. Then I get an email saying I have a video visit. How on earth is someone going to see if something is in my eye by video? Then I called the even more useless advice line where the guy asked me the most irrelevant questions. After all that I still didn’t get the help I needed. What part of “I had surgery a week ago and I’m in pain” is so hard to understand? They want people to wait after a major surgery. So here I am standing in person and now I have to wait until 6pm to be seen. Now asides from the eye pain I have I also have a terrible headache from everyone I had to yell at.

The lack of any Spanish speakers on the front desk on a regular basis is pretty disturbing. Do you just not accept people of Latin heritage into this department ? How do you expect to serve a community that has been known as little Mexico for as long as Redwood City has been a city with a lack of Spanish speakers
