Very pleasant staff but unfortunately the customer service is lacking. Took over month to get frames due to lab errors. Didn't like frames and attempted to return them in less than one week from receiving and they would only exchange.. Spoke to multiple employees and no one was aware of issues, as if conversations weren't documented. Proceeded to attempt to get contacts and during exam listened to eye doctor talk bad about me to staff. Finally gave up and had to go to competitor to have new eye exam and obtain new frames. Between the five plus visits lost approximately $1,000.00. Very unfortunate as Optix was recommended by a colleague. Based on experience strongly recommend you see a different establishment for your eye health and eye care needs.

They saved my vision! I can’t say enough good things about Optix on Downer. Their staff got me in last minute on a Saturday to see Dr. McGinley when I had an eye infection emergency. I was amazed at the care I received even though I wasn’t an established patient. Dr. McGinley answered my questions throughout the day after the appointment and even gave me a referral to a specialist for the following Monday- the specialist said that the action Dr. McKinley took was critical to my recovery from the infection. The customer service was outstanding especially since I had to bring my two year old with me that morning. THANK YOU!

This place is superb. My long-time experience in MKE is that the professional staff in these sorts of businesses have excellent professional care (OD, techs), but the storefront staff fall short. That is emphatically NOT the case at Optix. The entire staff is skilled, friendly! (often a rarity), and excellent at navigating between patient-customer needs. There's really a comfortable elegance about the people and a truly beautiful store. From Dr. McGinley's cordial and expert exam to Alannah's friendly, first class precision up front, this is the place you hope to find.
