I would avoid getting any procedure done here. I had my eye history sent here from my optometrist and TLC said they believe I am a candidate but would like me to come in for a consultation. At the consultation they said I am a great fit for LASIK and to go ahead and schedule the procedure and be sure to take the following day off work. When I came in for surgery, I had to wait an hour before being taken back to fill out the consent forms. They had me fill out the all of the forms and discussed payment and I would be in surgery within 30 minutes. They wanted me to have a quick word with the doctor before payment though. The doctor came in and told me I am not a candidate for LASIK but he will perform PKR. I had not done any research on PKR and when I began asking questions, I received very short responses. I asked if the recovery process was longer and he said I would need 6 days off work and cannot drive for a week with PKR. (unlike LASIK where I had to take one day off work and driving restrictions ended much quicker) I let him know I had only taken the following day off work. He then asked if I was ready for payment. I left the office and decided against going through with the procedure with TLC since I was getting inconsistent information from the staff. I lost all trust in the surgeon when I was told 30 MINUTES before the surgery that they are going to do a different procedure then planned because they just caught this. If someone is performing a surgery on my eyes I want to have full faith in the doctors and the staff. I would encourage anyone looking into laser eye surgery to look elsewhere.
