I had an excellent experience this morning with Dr. Matthew Richardson at Pacific Eye Group. He and his assistant are professional yet warm, and clearly enjoy their work. I received clear and complete explanations of each step of my exam, but they listened equally well to my questions and concerns. Also, Dr. Richardson is communicating with another provider about my findings to ensure everyone has all the info about my vision needs. I highly recommend getting your eye care from this caring and highly competent team.

I've worn glasses for 30+ years, and have had many (many) different eye doctors, both privately owned & corporate. This has to be the best experience I've had since the 90s. Appointments are readily available, front desk staff is attentive & friendly. The appointments are fluid: first tech does the diagnostics, and then the doctor sees you, then the sales person takes care of either your glasses or contacts lens order. My sales person was friendly, not pushy, easy to work with without being creepy, and left me to browse & try on frames without coming across aloof. I was impressed with the selection of frames (which is the bonus of going to a corporate-type place) but the best part of the visit was the kindness & professionalism of the doctor. Dr Richardson is easy-going, knowledgeable and just super chill. Treated me like a person with eyes instead of a customer or specimen for study. Were my glasses expensive, even with insurance? Yes. But they look great, they arrived quickly, and they are perfect. Highly recommend this office! :)

Saw Dr. Richardson for glasses and contacts. The contacts that i paid $50 for the lens fitting fee, was based on my insurance…And because I am blind in one eye, he said he would give me 20 trial single lenses. Which I said I would be using 1 per week instead of glasses. He said that would last me for at least 4 months…He also said if I needed more after that, he could prob just give me another 20 trials before the end of the year. Upon my appt for the fitting of the lenses, I was told I could only get 20 period as he claimed they were cracking down on them about how many he gave away. So they gave me 5 lenses and told me they could give me the other 15 in 2 weeks. But then after that they couldn’t give me any more. Today I called to be sure they had them in, and they said if I wanted any more I would have to order them! I said you told me you give the rest in 2 weeks! And now they say they only do 5 to everybody. No that is NOT what I was told. And as I was getting funds together for glasses, I will no longer do business here. I don’t trust this place at all.

Dr. Matthew Richardson is a great Optometrist. My first visit with him was very relaxed, yet professional. He was clear, concise, and very personable which put my mind at ease. Highly recommend.
