Dr. Parikh is an excellent doctor. He took the time to explain things to me, did a thorough examination and recommended many medications for my treatment. Even though he was the only doctor that day seeing many patients, I didn’t feel rushed. I felt heard. He also speaks Spanish too and that is a plus! I will be coming to see him every year from now on.

I had cataract surgery with Dr. Parikh on 7/13 and 7/27/2023.I would highly recommend him to everyone. He is a true professional and always took time to explain everything and answers all of my questions. If you are having doubts or fears about having cataract surgery -do not.Special thanks also to Jen the surgical coordinator at Palisade Eye in Bayonne and the staff at River Drive Surgery Center. They know their jobs so well and make sure that everything runs smoothly.

Hello, my name is John and eventhough I seldom leave reviews, at this time I am compelled to do so and share my experience with you all regarding my recent eye surgeries. I've had very bad eyesight from a young age, basically since I can remember. As time has gone by and the situation with my vision has worsened. I had always been told that I was not a candidate for corrective surgeries and as I have become older my myopia and astigmatism have stretched the benefits of first, contact lenses as I became unable to further use them. Then the prescription for my eyeglasses became stronger and stronger, yes, I was wearing bottle bottoms for glasses without the possibility of any further new prescriptions being available for me. So, for many years I just accepted my lot and soldiered on with life but wouldn't you know it, cataracts! If things had been bad before now I could hardly walk without tripping over things that I simply could no longer see, not being able to discern people until almost bumping into them, unable to read street signs or bus routes, the list goes on. I came to the realization that it couldn't go on this way and after a little digging and 2 initial Doctors I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Parikh not knowing at the time that my life was to change. After several office visits at Palisade Eye, Dr. Parikh, explained to me the difficulties and risks involving possible surgeries to my eyes as my condition was not an easy one, (no surprise there). Dr. Parikh let me know that it would be advisable for him to consult with Colegues before committing to proceed with me and I readily agreed as I didn't want to loose hope. Afterwards Dr. Parikh imparted the good news that he would perform my eye surgeries. I was elated but also very nervous. The first appointment was agreed upon and the results were good! So promising in fact that the appointment for the second eye surgery was scheduled. Here I now am, a month and a half later. Still finding it hard to reconcile what I used to believe with the current reality regarding my eyesight. My eyes are now showing me not only the aforementioned "needful things" but I can clearly see details long forgotten! I now understand what "high definition" TV actually is as my vision has also sharpened. To say that this has been a life changer is not enough I think, this is a Blessing. I never imagined that such a Blessing could ever be possible for someone like me and because of my previous condition. In closing I must say that my Family and I will be forever grateful to Dr. Parikh. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Parikh, the wonderful caregivers at Palisade Eye and the nurses with the great bedside manner at Christ Hospital.
