Dr. Dobler-Dixons office was truly miserable, the girls you work with including the director Tisha will make snarky comments / bully you at least once a day. The girls will talk about you and even Dr. Dixon right in front of you and or her being near by. The environment is everything but uplifting and kind. You will get off at 7:00PM almost each day, and every day of the week is a different time when you will get off. Upper “management” does not show respect the way they should. They will do nothing about you being bullied at work because at Dr. Dixons office they have an extremely high turnover and are constantly having their technicians and front desk employees quitting and cannot risk losing disrespectful employees who are bullying others so they do nothing. It was quite dreadful to go to work and be around the staff with a very negative disrespectful director Tisha who will yell at everyone because she is emotionally unstable, and unprofessional at her own job. Upper management as a whole will be sure to let you know the bad mood they are in each day to make sure you’re aware of how their day is going including Michelle. Dr. Dixon hardly speaks to you and does not provide much of a learning experience or make you feel like you can even ask her questions in order to learn. As a provider she barely spends 2 minutes in the room with her patients who waited 4 hours to even see her. This business is poorly run and I don’t find it to be the cleanest place for ophthalmic care. Whether it be cleaning equipment or the girls not washing their hands before each patient. Your lunch break is 30 minutes. In your interview they will promise to raise your pay after each section you learn and can perform well at on your own but never did. The pay is extremely low for working up 76-84 patients a week on your own with maybe the help of another tech. I experienced working with a lazy technician who would work up one patient extremely slow so that I would have to do more out of the 80 some we would see in one day. Andrea constantly slacked off just to throw a day full of stressful 80 some patients to work up on me. The patients wait time is 4 hours which is just sad considering most all of them are 80 to 90 years of age. They technicians were also not provided water bottles by Dr. Dixon for 3 weeks as punishment because she does not like us drinking water at work.

This place is horrible! My mother sits for hours at this place every time she comes, which is monthly. The receptionist even said that they schedule patients to arrive and “waste” an hour before the appointment. At 87 there is not a lot of time to waste! I wish there was someplace else to go in Amarillo but that does not seem to be the case. My mother was told not to eat or drink after midnight and it’s now 1:30 pm with no food or drink and no indication that she will be called anytime soon! The doctors here have no respect for anyone’s time. I hope they are at least competent with the surgery and are able to save her vision. I’m also relatively sure that they will not care about this review
