Dr. Nguyen is a true community doctor — I received excellent care and felt confident in his expertise. He’s really kind and patient, and did not rush me when fitting me for contact lenses and glasses. He provides high quality care at a great cost. I really appreciate how much he cared about me as a patient and really wanted me to feel comfortable with the lenses and glasses I chose. Will be sending all referrals to him!

Dr. Liselotte Van Landegem, OD, performed on the the best and most comprehensive eye exams I have had in a long time. She did a great job explaining the issues with my eyes. Also provided contact lens and eye glass prescriptions. Very patient and through. I highly recommend her. The office staff were very nice and efficient.

I love the intimate care provided—you never feel rushed or like you can ask too many questions, or that anyone else is a priority over you. The doctors are very patient and comprehensive, and the front desk is very friendly and helpful. The unique range of glasses offered are a bonus, and I received my new pair and an updated old pair very quickly!

One happy customer! Dylan and Dr. Korik are simply amazing! From the time I stepped into this private space off the street I knew that it was something special. My appointment with Dr. Korik was easily one of the most comfortable eye tests that I've ever had. She was pleasant and easy to talk to. At the front of the house Dylan is a superstar! He is warm, welcoming and knows just the right amount of space to give his customers as they browse the high end and highly curated selection of frames available in this boutique optical. In short, don't hesitate to book an appointment or stop by to shop for your next pair of frames/lenses. This hidden gem is worth the trip! Congrats Dylan and Dr. Korik on being so customer focused! You are both a great asset to Park Slope Eye Optical!

I had my annual eye exam with Dr. Miriam Korik. She is absolutely amazing! Professional, friendly, and very informative. Dr. Korik put me at ease from the moment I walked into the office, explaining every step and tool used and giving clear instructions for each test. She reviewed my results thoroughly and provided all the information I needed to feel peace of mind about my eye health and what to watch for. Dr. Korik also clearly explained what my insurance covered and what would be out-of-pocket. Park Slope Eye + Optical is a clean, welcoming space. The confirmation text I received before my appointment gave clear directions on how to access the office. And the selection for frames was fantastic. I'm definitely looking forward to my next annual exam!

Such a great first visit! Zero wait, weekend hours, clean office, great coverage with VSP, has a machine that scans your eye so you don’t have to dilate which I was happy about. Dr Nguyen then spent quality time after the exam helping me find/try on a bunch of glasses (i ended up buying a pair since i loved them so much and i’m picky - it’s been 7 years since my last frames lol) highly recommend!

Dr Nguyen is great! Super thorough and kind, as well as very easy to coordinate with. There's a reason he's rated so highly on ZocDoc. Highly recommend if you want quality eye care in the area.

Dr. Nyugen is fantastic. He is efficient, kind, and congenial. We were joking over movie plots while he advised me on how to save money with specific products and future visits to him. He was clearly focused on helping me succeed in my eye health more than generating profit from my visit. I’ve bounced around eye doctors all over Brooklyn and Manhattan for years and this is by far my best experience. I won’t be able to trust anyone other than Dr. Nyugen!

Dr. Nyugen is such a gem! He is extremely personable and flexible, including helping me to reorder contacts without requiring a totally new appointment and copay. He consistently finds ways to make sure I take full advantage of all available discounts and insurance (far more than I’ve found elsewhere). Thank you Dr. Nyugen!

I’ve never expected to enjoy going to an optometrist office like I did today. Usually, most places just rush you in and rush you out. I cannot explain how well my appointment with Dr. Miriam Korik went today. I was welcomed in and not rushed by a kind gentlemen (Daniel?) as well. Dr. Korik was kind and patient with any questions I had. She explained everything about my care to me in an informative and digestible way. Dr. Korik paid very close attention to detail and made sure I got the best prescription and options for me. Rather than being rushed out, we had a lovely conversation about travels and work/studies in the medical field. Dr. Korik has set a high standard for patient care, I will be very happy to return in the future. I am very pleased with how smoothly the payment/insurance process went as well.

Edit: I do not have the wrong office. The first visit I made to this office I met with John Nguyen who I assumed was the owner/ operator. I did have a different doctor today Miriam Korik- she mentioned her “employer” multiple times. I really debated leaving this review. But it’s important. I just finished my visit to park slope optical boutique and it’ll be my last time. I was informed that they don’t dilate the eyes in the office because they only have one person on staff at a time. The procedure they use in replacement of dilating the eyes is not covered by insurance and it costs 90$. They told me it saves time and limits the amount of visits you have to make. I suggested that when I made the appointment I should’ve been made aware of the out of pocket costs, since it’s standard for them. Instead of saying “you’re right, we will do that next time,” The response I got was “well, we feel like if our patients have an issue with this cost we don’t want them as patients.” I viewed this statement as a comment on my perceived socio economic status, or even racial bias? Either way I thought that was incredibly rude to say to someone. The doctor even apologized for her bluntness. The 90$ is not an issue, who doesn’t love to save time! However, the lack of transparency certainly is. It suggests shady business practices. It almost felt a little scammy? Either way- I got the HINT, if you know what I mean. I didn’t feel like I was in Brooklyn at an eye doctor owned and operated by a minority ( why I picked him), but rather in an environment that actively didn’t want me there. Ive informed my insurance company.

For years I have worn a certain Japanese brand of titanium eyewear (begins with a Zero, ends with a G)—I love it because it is so durable & lightweight, and I like the look. Recently, my glasses developed a crack in the over-the-ear plastic portion that was causing me considerable discomfort. I pinged the manufacturer via their website: could they point me to an optician in 11215 to help repair my glasses? They suggested Park Slope Eye Optical Boutique. So glad they did! The service was super helpful, friendly & responsive. PS Eye totally solved my problem! NB: I plan to buy a new pair in Q2. I will post an update then.

Your website says you're open until 6, your Google page says you're open until 5:30. It's 4:40 and I'm here to pick up my glasses and nobody's answering the phone or the buzzer. I took two trains to be here and now I can't get what I came for. I guess it's incumbent upon me to organize my schedule around your receptionist, so what time would it be convenient for YOU to have me come in and pick up my script?

I will be coming back for sure. The doctor was great at explaining everything and their instruments were state of the art (no air puff in the eye!). Their selection of frames is great as well.

I love this place. I have a complicated script - progressives, astigmatism, etc. - and tend to have issues but was so pleasantly surprised w. Dr. Korik. Happy to have found her. Nice selection of specs too. Getting frame adjustments and general aftercare needs work but Doc makes up for it.

New customer at this great neighborhood optician. Both staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Seems like they have all the latest technology. Most importantly, I left seeing better than when I arrived. They improved my contact lens prescription significantly. Definitely recommend.

Very enjoyable appointment with Dr. Korik, who seemed to answer all my questions. I was in and out in no time. Word to the wise: do not confuse this business with Urban Optical, which has a very similar address: 326 7th Avenue, Park Slope.

Dr. Nguyen was prompt and professional. The process was swift and easy. In addition to my appointment issue, he noticed my contacts weren’t fitting properly and did further analysis to find which contacts fit me better. He even walked me through my insurance to help figure out ways to afford the new contracts. I would def recommend Dr. Nguyen!
