They perform fundus photography on minors even if you fill out form online for your children stating that you do not want the testing performed. When questioned about it they state, " We do it on all our patients". Testing of any nature on minors without parental consent is illegal, when made aware of that fact they gladly agreed it was a mistake and testing was not discussed with parent

A year ago I was so thrilled to have found this place and raved about it to everyone. News Update!!! Won't be back! Went for my free yearly exam and was told I have a $39 copay with my insurance. I checked my insurance and my copay is 0! The $39 auto charge they tried to charge me was for an optional test which both my husband and I didn't want. And was never offered a choice. They got my husband to do it without his knowledge and he was the first into the exam room. I was next, and because I have eye exam every year, I questioned the girl prior and her response was I quote " Dr. won't see you unless you have this done or she will dilate your eyes instead! I told her not getting it done an walked out of the room. I consulted the Dr. and told her my feeling about my experience and she recognized I was irritated and then said let's check your eyes. I told her I wasn't paying for any of this. After raising a fuss they did strike the $39 optional test off my husbands bill. However, they tried to make up the cost by charging me with a free trial pair of contacts. Said that my insurance company doesn't cover free trail fitting. I'm not paying for a fitting when I put them in my eyes. As a result I took out the free trial contacts and left them at the desk!! My advice to you all, is to start asking what am I actually being charged for before any services rendered. Know your insurance coverage before walking into this place!! Beware! Old staff that I once knew are all gone!

I walked into Pearle Vision last week anticipating to not find anything that I could either afford or like. I had been chasing all over Rockford with my sister previously when she had just purchased a pair. I was genuinely surprised at wonderful selection of designer glasses along with low cost frames. We had Pam wait on us and she was very pleasant and helpful with assisting us with choosing a pair and ordering. My frames came in within 6 days when she quoted possibly taking up to 2 weeks. When I went to pick them up she made sure they fit properly and said she would be checking back with me in a few days to see how things were doing with the new prescription and frames. Highly recommend them and asking for Pam McFadden to assist you!! Thanks again Pam for all your wonderful assistance and time with us. Sue Rohl
